Lloyd’s Insurance Company (LIC), branded as Lloyd’s Europe is currently looking to recruit a Market Engagement Manager based in Paris. You will be responsible for the support and implementation of Lloyd’s Commercial strategy across the Western Europe (WE) region working with other Country Managers / teams in their respective roles and accountabilities in a manner that achieves Lloyd’s operational, financial and regulatory requirements and targets, both for LIC and the wider Corporation.

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Understand, contribute to the design and promote Lloyd’s Commercial strategy.

  • Implement execution plans aimed at broadening Lloyd’s market reach and visibility, creating new business opportunities.

  • Support Western Europe Country Managers to successfully deliver Lloyd’s commercial strategy across the region focused on unlocking new distribution channels, stimulating existing ones, attracting new capital and raising awareness with Lloyd’s relevant audiences (London market associations, European and local industry trade or risk associations, key brokers, local service companies and universities with risk management and insurance programs, etc.).

  • Work with senior colleagues to establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assessing the effectiveness of Europe market development initiatives, generate reports and present insights to colleagues.

  • Build  understanding  of  Lloyd’s  across  the  European  market.  Find  the  most  effective  and efficient  channels  to  ensure  retail  and  wholesale  brokers  understand  and  feel  comfortable accessing the Lloyd’s market.

  • Build and maintain key commercial relationships across the region with key stakeholders – including brokers, customers (incl. cedents), MGAs, managing agents, market associations, and local / regional regulators and government bodies

  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competition and customer needs, to inform the adaptation of the strategy to local markets contexts.

  • Collaborate with diverse functions across LIC and the Corporation of Lloyd’s. incl. market development, communication, strategy and innovation, performance management, operations, risk and finance teams to design and support in the delivery of regional propositions that meet customer requirements

 

Skills Knowledge and Experience

 

  • Awareness of key challenges and opportunities in the French market and the broader Western Region

  • Good understanding of the Lloyd’s market.

  • Interest in the broader financial services industry in Europe and globally.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

  • Ability to develop internal and external business relationships, demonstrating high professional standards together with influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Ability to act in a commercial, customer-focused manner.
