In this key role, you will work closely with local and international Finance teams, Shared Services, and other business functions to ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements while supporting operational excellence across the Finance organization.
Success in this role extends beyond technical accounting expertise.
As a trusted Finance partner, the Senior Business Transformation Controller balances local statutory requirements with global Finance standards while influencing stakeholders across a complex matrix organization to deliver well-controlled, efficient, and compliant Finance operations.
The role also drives continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen the control environment, and drive standardized ways of working across Finance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the local Controllership function, including oversight of the Principal Operating Company (POC), comprising more than 30 country ledgers
Provide financial oversight, governance and compliance for the Swiss business, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and corporate accounting requirements
Lead and oversee the accurate execution of:
US GAAP accounting and financial close processes
Accruals and provisions
Account reconciliations
Financial close and consolidation activities
Oversee Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including invoice processing, payments and travel and expense activities
Manage intercompany accounting, settlements and reconciliations
Lead statutory reporting activities, tax accounting support, and external audit coordination for Swiss legal entities
Partner with Shared Service Centers, Global Process Owners, and regional Finance teams to strengthen governance, resolve operational issues, and lead the simplification, standardization, and implementation of Finance processes, policies, and systems while maintaining strong financial controls
Stakeholder Management
You'll partner with a broad network of Finance and business stakeholders to ensure effective execution of statutory accounting, financial reporting, governance, and Finance process improvement initiatives.
Success depends on building trusted relationships across functions to align priorities and deliver consistent outcomes within a global matrix organization.
Your Profile:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA, or equivalent)
Several years of progressive experience in Accounting, Controllership, or Finance within an international organization
Experience working within a Principal Operating Company (POC) environment is preferred
Strong knowledge of Swiss statutory accounting requirements, audit processes, tax accounting, and VAT reporting
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Experience with SOX controls and internal control frameworks
Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
Fluency in English and either German or French (minimum C1)
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, build trusted relationships, and successfully lead cross-functional initiatives within a complex global matrix organization
