Predominately a Forces Command training base supporting Defence Force School of Signals (tri-service technicians & operators, electronic warfare systems), Defence Force School of Music (tri-service musicians) and Army Education Centre. The Army base services approximately 6000 Defence members and operates a 9 bed low dependency ward 24/7. The health centre also provides primary medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental and mental health services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). This role is full time Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. What  you ’ll  do   Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members  Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care. Undertaking assessments, interventions, managing medications, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount   What you bring   Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse One of the following: ACMHN credentialed Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing Mental Health trained nurse / UK trained undergraduate Mental Health Nurse Minimum two years’ Post RN general registration experience within last five years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting   Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)  Australian Citizenship required  to obtain Baseline Security Clearance Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient-centred care  Who we are   Serco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.  Through our partnership with Bupa, we provide integrated on-base healthcare to Australian Defence Force personnel across 45+ locations.  To learn more about Serco click here Interested?
