Job Description:
On Site Support (OSS) Improvement Manager (Toulouse)
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team in Toulouse for the position of OSS Improvement Manager within the Cabin FAL Interface Back Office team. This role is crucial for ensuring continuous product and process improvement within the Cabin procurement perimeter, as well as Rework Cost Validation (RCV) and compliance with Supplier / On-Site Support (OSS) coordination agreements.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Problem Solving and Process Optimization: You'll support, lead, verify, and implement cross-departmental improvement projects. This includes identifying recurring problems (both Airbus- and supplier-caused), initiating escalations, and developing and implementing risk mitigation measures.
Technical Expertise and Reporting: You'll contribute your technical and professional expertise for process improvements and product quality surveillance. You'll also create and revise generic and individual reports on resources, budget, and OSS performance, as well as ad-hoc analyses for production and strategic purchasing.
Rework Cost Validation (RCV): You'll work closely with OSS, its responsible departments in the Supplier Homebase (SHB), and our Airbus production areas to determine and agree on the correct liability for Non-Conformities (NCs). You'll clarify cross-program responsibilities for deviations from contractual compliance. This includes collecting, analyzing, and negotiating transnational cost data (time expenditure, material, and delivery costs) from suppliers for all programs. You'll assert Airbus claims for complaints and confirm their factual accuracy.
Process and Policy Implementation: You'll oversee the work for all local Cabin OSS and communicate applicable guidelines and processes. Furthermore, you'll define and create external company coordination agreements, including scheduling for FAL sites worldwide.
Contract Design and Performance Monitoring: You'll design OSS-related contract components (e.g., OSS requirements, pricing for performance disruptions/ "OSS reactivity" when targets are not met, lump sums for sub-components). Regular reviews to monitor agreed cross-program OSS performance in cooperation with OSS management and supplier homebase management are also part of your duties.
Your Profile:
- Qualification: You have a Master's degree (ideally in engineering fields such as aeronautics engineering, mechanical engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent working experience/qualifications).
- Experience: You bring several years of professional experience in supplier management, quality conformance management, data analist, purchasing, manufacturing engineering or supply chain within an aeronautics environment.
- Tools: You are a data-driven person with experience in digital tools like Skywise, Looker Studio, and Google Sheets.
- Language: Fluent English is essential.
- Flexibility: You are prepared for recurring and sometimes unpredictable changes between different work areas and diverse technical requirements, working closely with the Airbus Supply Chain, our internal and external customers, as well as our cabin supplier and its OSS.
- Collaboration & Adaptability: You are characterized by a strong ability for cross-functional, consensual coordination at an international level, even with conflicting interests among various stakeholders such as engineering, purchasing, quality, FAL, Flightline, customers, and suppliers. You are prepared for recurring and sometimes unpredictable changes between different work areas.
Our Offer:
We offer you a responsible position where you can significantly contribute to maintaining our quality standards and actively participate in shaping and optimizing our internal and supplier supply chain processes. You will have extensive scope for action and decision-making in the review and negotiation of NC liability and cost validation.
This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
