You will join the Automotive Forming Techniques and Applications department within the ArcelorMittal Research Centre dedicated to Automotive Applications in Montataire.
You will integrate a team with the aims to:
- characterize new steel grades in terms of formability for automotive applications
- develop methodologies and criteria to be able to foresee formability limits for our steels
- help our customers in the resolution of their formability issues
Your role
You will be in charge of the management of the forming workshop team (6 people) and equipments (forming and cutting equipments, measurement devices, …). You will organize the activity in the workshop in relation with the research project managers.
Within a team, you will work on the understanding of forming limits of our steel solutions.
You will have to :
- manage workshop technicians (day-to-day management, definition and follow-up of the planning of activities, definition and follow-up of annual objectives, career evolution, development of competencies)
- bring your expertise in terms of stamping trials : setup of a stamping tools, definition of process parameters
- organize stamping campaigns in relation with project managers.
- manage the equipments : stamping presses, cutting equipments, measurement devices, ...
Your profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10 years experience as a manager in a forming workshop.
- You have experience in people management.
- You have knowledge in stamping.
- You have advanced/intermediate level in English.
