In this transformation, we strongly believe in AI-Augmentation rather than full blown Automation, and see technology as a way to help our experts focus on their expertise and reduce non value added tasks. SCOR has already started that journey, for example by building AI capabilities allowing to summarize key information from lengthy reports used during Underwriting. In order to deliver this AI Augmentation, developing strong Product Management capabilities, at the cross roads of (re)insurance business expertise and tech, is a strategic imperative.

Within the L&H Transformation team, the specific role of Head of L&H Business Origination operations is strategic for the success of our L&H business. Our vision is that AI will help us better manage the full (re)insurance value chain, and especially the end to end treaty underwriting process (including underwriting, pricing, all the necessary sign offs and referrals, etc.). We expect these capabilities will gradually become hygiene for a well performing L&H reinsurer. The Head of L&H Business Origination operations will take an active role in building these capabilities, forming a vision of what an effective treaty underwriting process will look like in the years to come and delivering the Products that will help to support that vision.
