The Advancement department at INSEAD is dedicated to fundraising and developing relationships with alumni and donors. It plays a crucial role in supporting the school’s strategic initiatives and promoting engagement within the INSEAD community.
INSEAD is seeking an Apprentice, Annual Fundraising Support Coordinator to join the Advancement team and support the Annual Giving team. This position is designed for students currently pursuing their studies who are interested in gaining professional experience in relationship-building, communications, and fundraising. This is an apprenticeship contract position starting from September 2026 based at our Europe Campus in Fontainebleau, France.
About the Job
The apprentice will contribute to donor engagement through administrative support and outreach activities, including conducting thank-you calls to donors and helping identify opportunities for deeper engagement. The role provides exposure to institutional fundraising strategy and the opportunity to develop practical professional skills in a collaborative environment. This is a developmental role focused on learning and skill-building rather than prior experience.
Your role within the team
Annual Fund Administrative Support
- Support donor database updates and data hygiene.
- Prepare communication lists and call schedules.
- Help coordinate mailing or stewardship materials.
- Help coordinate donor and volunteer events and support volunteer management.
- Contribute to reporting and basic data analysis.
- Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team.
Donor Calls
- Conduct thank you phone calls to donors.
- Represent the institution professionally and warmly.
- Document insights from conversations.
- Identify donor interests or engagement signals.
- Escalate potential opportunities for further giving to senior staff.

- Preparing a master’s degree in communications / marketing / business / management.
- Strong verbal communication ability.
- Professional and positive interpersonal style.
- Reliability and accountability.
- Attention to detail.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Comfort speaking with new people.
- Digital literacy (Excel/Word/PowerPoint or equivalent).
- Ability to handle information with discretion.
- Fluent in English.
