Rothschild Martin Maurel is recruiting a AI Solution Architect on a fixed-term contract. The position is available immediately and will be based in Paris.

1. Position summary

The AI Solution Architect acts as the technical authority for artificial intelligence across the entire WAM perimeter, working transversally across all WAM entities to ensure architectural consistency, reusability and regulatory compliance of AI solutions.

Based in Paris, the role is hierarchically attached to the Co-CIO WAM France, while operating functionally at WAM level in close coordination with IT leaders of the other WAM entities and with Group stakeholders.

The AI Solution Architect is responsible for defining the target AI architecture, designing and industrialising generative AI use cases, from business copilots to autonomous agents, and embedding governance, security and responsible AI principles from the outset.

He or she operates primarily within a rich Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub), while maintaining openness to complementary AI ecosystems to ensure the best possible solutions are delivered to WAM business lines.

2. Key responsibilities
  • Define and maintain the target AI architecture across the WAM perimeter, aligned with the Group’s enterprise architecture principles and regulatory constraints, ensuring coherence across WAM entities.
  • Design and deliver business copilots and AI agents on Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot, tailored to the needs of private bankers, portfolio managers and support functions.
  • Industrialise generative AI solutions on Azure AI Foundry (Microsoft Foundry), covering model selection, prompt engineering, evaluation, observability and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain openness to complementary AI ecosystems — notably Anthropic Claude, as well as other leading model providers and agentic frameworks — to benchmark capabilities, enable best-of-breed choices, and ensure WAM is not locked into a single vendor. Assess and integrate external AI platforms where they bring clear business or technical value, while preserving coherence with the Microsoft-centric core architecture.
  • Contribute to the integration of AI capabilities with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, lakehouses, Data Agents) and with core business systems including Dynamics 365, the Portfolio Management System and Core Banking platforms. The AI Solution Architect defines the interface and integration requirements in close collaboration with the AI Data Engineer, who is responsible for the downstream implementation within the data platform.
  • Design and deploy Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers — both local and remote — to securely expose business data and functions to AI clients such as Copilot, Claude and other agentic platforms, leveraging MCP as a strategic enabler of multi-ecosystem interoperability.
  • Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns over corporate knowledge bases (SharePoint, regulatory libraries, research notes), ensuring relevance, traceability and access control.
  • Ensure AI governance guidelines are followed across all AI providers in use, covering security (Entra ID, Microsoft Purview), regulatory compliance (AI Act, DORA, GDPR), responsible AI, model risk management and FinOps. The AI Solution Architect acts as a key relay of the Group’s AI governance framework, translating its principles into concrete architectural and design choices.
  • Support and upskill product teams and Communities of Practice across WAM entities, promoting AI literacy and engineering best practices.
  • Frame and supervise external engagements related to AI projects, ensuring quality and alignment with the target architecture.
  • Conduct technology watch on the broader AI landscape — Microsoft, Anthropic, and other leading players — and contribute actively to the WAM AI roadmap.

3. Required technical skills
  • AI / Generative AI: Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, RAG patterns, fine-tuning, model evaluation. Working knowledge of Anthropic Claude (API, Claude Code, agentic capabilities) and other frontier model providers appreciated.
  • Copilots & Agents: Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot for Sales, agent frameworks (Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangChain).
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP): design and deployment of MCP servers (local and remote), integration with Claude, Copilot and other clients.
  • Data: Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, lakehouses, Data Agents, Data Factory), Azure Data Services.
  • Integration: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, REST APIs, event-driven architectures.
  • Security & Governance: Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Azure Policy.
  • Development: Python, C#/.NET, TypeScript.
  • DevOps: Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

4. Soft skills
  • Technical leadership and ability to influence without authority, particularly across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Clarity of thought and pedagogical skills, with the ability to engage demanding stakeholders as private bankers, portfolio managers, compliance officers.
  • Consultative posture, balancing technical rigour with business pragmatism.
  • Intellectual curiosity and open-mindedness towards emerging AI ecosystems and paradigms.
  • Excellent communication in both French and English, written and spoken — essential for operating across WAM entities.

5. Candidate profile
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in solution architecture, including 2 to 3 years on production-grade generative AI projects.
  • Exposure to multiple AI ecosystems (Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, open-source) is a strong asset.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102), Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AI-900 are appreciated.
  • Prior experience in a regulated banking or financial services environment is strongly valued, ideally with exposure to multi-entity or international setups.
