Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Test Leader for Maintenance, Connectivity and Recording functions to join our Test & Analytics - Avionics Aircraft Data & Security Department based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of the Avionic Testing Department, at the heart of embedded systems engineering. Our activities essentially consist of testing new system versions or functionalities under varied conditions, using a wide range of test resources (from partial test benches to large-scale simulators), in order to ensure their certification and full maturity before they enter into service. This job position will serve 2 services.
The first is the “Maintenance, Connectivity and Data” service of 28 engineers with very varied profiles, responsible for performing tests on maintenance and connectivity functions. These functions are a cornerstone of maintenance and fleet management operations for our clients, which is why our work is essential to the satisfaction of AIRBUS aircraft operators all over the world.
The second is “Accidents & Flight Ops Analysis” service of 27 engineers with various profiles from multi-ATA data analyst, incident&accident analyst to Flight and Voice Recorders (black boxes) testers. This job is an excellent opportunity to get multi ATA competences and to contribute to one of Airbus key top priorities - Product Safety, through the integration of data and voice recording systems
This job position aims to emphasise and reinforce an existing synergy between those teams and drive the use of innovative solutions on these respective perimeters.

Your challenges:
Prepare ground and flight test campaigns for the maintenance and connectivity functions of the A320 and A330 families (onboard systems and ground applications);
Prepare ground and flight test campaigns for Flight and Voice recorders for all Airbus families;
Participate in tests on test benches and simulators, as well as in the analysis of the results;
Ensure the coordination and follow-up of test activities carried out by our subcontractors;
Track observations from the tests and prepare test result and analysis reports;
Monitor test activities performed at our industrial partners, equipment and software suppliers.
Specify future Test Means;
Closely collaborate with the Design Office;
Provide the Incident/Accident Analysts team with reliable decoding files for future event analysis
Proactively drive innovation through digitalisation, automation, use of Artificial Intelligence etc…
Your boarding pass:
Proactive, open-minded, highly flexible with good communication and analytical skills.
A desire to learn and a knack for technical investigation.
Knowledge of avionics systems, overall aircraft knowledge.
Knowledge of information technologies (IT, network, data processing, data recording, Datalink / Audio / System BITE etc.).
Python skills would be a plus
Knowledge of in-service aircraft maintenance principles would be a plus.
An advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French are required.
This position requires being eligible to security, Export Control and Military clearances by the recognized authorities.
