Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Rotors Systems engineer (m/f) to join the Rotors Systems department and you will work in the Rotors Systems Design team at Airbus Helicopter Marignane.

Your future missions:
You will be a team member (from 3 to 8 persons depending on the project phase), and your main activities will be the following:
1) To Design
Ensure the best architectures selection regarding the helicopters specification and general engineering output.
Design the Rotors Systems from the elementary part to the assembled system and from the 3D models to the detailed drawings taking into account fonctionals, kinematics, mechanical strengh and industrial constraints.
Ensure the qualitiy and conformity of Rotors deliverables and activities during the whole product development and in service life (studies,faisability, pre-development, development, initial production, entry into service, maturity)
2) To Tests
Ensure the quality and the relevance of the Rotors test requests and conclusions, follow up and support laboratory and flight test associated activities
3) Follow up and support
Managing Equipment suppliers activities (design, qualification, documentation, as well as issues related to industrialisation) Performing the required project management activities (including the monitoring of the dedicated relevant OTD,OTC and OTQ KPIs)
4) Certify
Ensure the delivery and quality of the certification documents (technical description, FMECA, DDP, test conlusions, maintenance documents related to design activities and to be approved by the Authority
5) In service Manage the major incident analyses
Propose severity classification for each technical events, propose and deploy protective measure for customers safety when necessary.
Finally propose design changes in order to solve issues raised during production or in service.
You will be in regular interactions with many départements of the company such as porjects/programs, airworthiness, customers support, test (ground and flight), production centers, materials laboratories, assembly centers and work preparation or manufacturing engineering.You will be in permanent interactions with rotors system stress and industrialization teams.
Required skills:
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Mechanics, Design and Dynamics of structures or a related discipline.
- General knowledge of aircraft
- Knowledge in Mechanics (preferably Aeronautics, Flight Mechanic knowledge would be a plus)
- Ability to use CAD software (preferably CATIA Vol\Surf\Composite)
- Skills in dimensioning, analysis of composite materials
- Ability to work in a multi-metier environnement, within production.
Language skills :
English: Intermediate
French: Fluent
You will be required to travel to France and/or Germany (at least 1 trip during the mission) and you must be prepared to travel accordingly
