What's the job?
The role is responsible for delivering structured analytical and process-driven finance support, specifically for the Kingfisher UK Tax Team. The individual will prepare, compile and reconcile information for recurring monthly reporting, half-year and year-end deliverables, compliance processes, and intercompany support.
Key responsibilities
Routine tasks - UK and Ireland focus
Preparation of monthly journals relating to tax, and associated balance sheet reconciliations
Fixed asset analysis across UK companies
Preparation of Profit and Loss account mapping files for UK companies
Analysis of UK corporate expenditure to support accurate classification, reporting and review
Preparation of internal forms for half-year and year-end reporting purposes
Support preparation of additional statutory, regulatory or internal reporting schedules as required
Support management charge process between UK companies and overseas entities
Routine tasks – Group reporting focus
Perform monthly Group management account reviews for control purposes
Monthly review of interest charges to support Group reporting
Preparation of certain disclosures for non-complex statutory accounts
Support preparation of certain half-year and year-end reporting adjustments
Support calculation of the quarterly UK corporate income tax payments on account
Country-by-Country Report data collation
Manage annual intercompany balance reconciliations process
What you'll bring
Skills and experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile, compile and validate finance data
High attention to detail and ability to work to timetable-driven deliverables
Eagerness to work within a global finance environment, developing knowledge and experience of core accountancy processes, reconciliations, financial controls, and data analysis
Confident Excel user with experience handling mapping files, reconciliations and structured schedules
Ability to coordinate with finance, tax, and reporting stakeholders.
