Short Intro and About the Job Permanent | Hybrid Working | Sydney, Australia Join Danone , a global leader in health-focused food and specialised nutrition Lead tax compliance, reporting, planning and governance across Australia and New Zealand Competitive salary and strong exposure to regional and global stakeholders ABOUT THE ROLE Danone is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Tax Manager - Oceania to join our Danone Business Services (DBS) team based in Sydney. Reporting directly to the DBS Asia Pacific Tax Director , this role is accountable for all tax matters across Danone's Oceania Nutricia entities in Australia and New Zealand. As an individual contributor, you will lead tax compliance, reporting, transfer pricing activities, audit management, tax governance and planning initiatives while partnering with both local and global stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled tax professional to influence business outcomes, drive compliance excellence, and support strategic tax initiatives across the Oceania region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Tax Compliance and Tax Reporting Lead, execute and monitor external tax compliance and tax reporting for the dedicated CBUs in Oceania, including but not limited to recurring and ad hoc tax filing and operational tasks, tax payment and refund application, tax preferential treatment application, etc. Execute and monitor internal tax reporting, forecast and analysis, as well as tax provision for the dedicated CBUs in Oceania Tax Planning and Projects Provide tax advisory to the dedicated CBUs in Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) Lead the tax planning projects and manage tax risks properly in Oceania Execute global and regional tax projects implementation in Oceania, when needed Play a key role to propose and execute actions to simplify the local operation Transfer Pricing (TP) Reporting and Planning Manage routine TP documentation and TP projects for the dedicated CBUs in Oceania Execute the TP review with Corporate based on the global schedule for the dedicated CBUs Tax Audit/Litigation Maintain relationship with tax authorities / related government bodies Lead and manage the local tax audit and tax litigation activities in Oceania Internal Control / Learning Prepare and refresh tax position papers, SOPs for the geo tax processes Execute the updated Danone internal control procedures (Dango) and ensure the tax governance and control in place Support DBS Learning & Sharing in tax session Business Continuity & Capability Building Build up good quality of back-up mechanism for Oceania tax (including documentation, procedures, SOPs, system access, etc.) About You You are a highly capable tax professional with strong technical expertise, commercial acumen and the ability to build effective relationships across a complex stakeholder environment. Ideally, you will have: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Commerce or a related discipline Minimum 10 years' experience in corporate tax Previous experience within a Big 4 accounting firm In-house commercial tax experience within a multinational organisation CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification Strong understanding of tax compliance, reporting, tax governance and transfer pricing Knowledge of SAP and strong accounting fundamentals (preferred) Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure About Us, We offer and What's next WE OFFER At Danone, purpose and performance go hand in hand.
