Le poste en détail
Are you a customer-obsessed builder with deep expertise in enterprise migration and modernization? Do you have the technical acumen and business savvy to help customers successfully migrate their most critical workloads to AWS? Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) within the Automotive & Manufacturing team as a Senior Migration & Modernization Specialist Solutions Architect—a senior individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise in storage, application modernization, and infrastructure migration including data center exits.
The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue and accelerating adoption across enterprise customers. We work backwards from our customers' most complex migration challenges to develop and execute go-to-market plans that transform legacy infrastructure into modern, cloud-native architectures. As part of WWSO, you will contribute across the full lifecycle of AWS customer migration initiatives—from initial assessment to post-migration optimization.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will translate customer infrastructure challenges into comprehensive migration strategies leveraging AWS. You will define, design, and execute large-scale migration architectures that accelerate adoption of AWS services across storage, applications, and infrastructure domains. You will engage with senior engineers, architects, infrastructure leaders, and executives at strategic enterprise customers to influence migration decisions and provide structured feedback to AWS product teams.
As the ideal candidate, you bring deep technical expertise in enterprise migrations and the business acumen required to lead complex data center exit programs with large enterprises. You have hands-on experience with storage migration strategies, application modernization patterns, VMware migrations, database migrations, and infrastructure-as-code approaches. You are able to credibly advise senior technical and executive stakeholders on migration trade-offs, risks, and long-term optimization strategies.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business development colleagues to provide technical input into migration GTM strategy and support field marketing through technical events, campaigns, and customer engagements
- Lead complex migration problem solving to unblock customers' most critical data center exit and modernization initiatives
- Design and execute migration strategies for storage systems (including AWS Backup, FSx, EFS, S3), application workloads (including VMware, Microsoft workloads, containerization), and infrastructure (including network, security, and compute)
- Represent the voice of the customer and collaborate with field and central teams to bring migration feedback to product teams
- Act as a thought leader in Migration & Modernization by sharing best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, migration patterns, and public speaking engagements such as AWS Summits and AWS re:Invent
- Guide and support an internal AWS community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your customers, including the creation of field enablement materials for the broader Solution Architect population
- Partner with AWS Migration Competency Partners and ISVs to deliver comprehensive migration solutions
