Join AXA XL Americas as a Sr. Product Manager supporting US Middle Market. This role will help drive product strategy, underwriting execution, and portfolio performance across the Middle Market portfolio, with an emphasis on industry-focused solutions that support evolving business needs. Working closely with underwriting, actuarial, claims, risk engineering, legal, regulatory, compliance, and distribution partners, this position will help develop guidelines, shape strategic direction, and deliver competitive, compliant, and profitable property solutions for middle-market clients. What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Lead product and industry solutions support across the US Middle Market portfolio, helping align product strategy, underwriting guidance, and portfolio priorities with business objectives. Partner with underwriting leadership to shape strategic direction across assigned areas, including growth priorities, underwriting appetite, portfolio mix, and product positioning. Support established and emerging business segments by evaluating market needs, developing practical product guidance, and helping build scalable solutions as priorities evolve. Participate heavily in portfolio management activities, including monitoring performance trends, evaluating profitability, identifying emerging issues, and recommending actions to support sustainable growth. Develop, maintain, and enhance underwriting guidelines, product guidance, coverage positions, and related tools to support consistent underwriting execution across the Middle Market portfolio. Collaborate with Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, Risk Engineering, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Distribution to align product, pricing, appetite, and industry strategies with business objectives. Provide technical support and subject matter expertise to underwriters on industry-specific exposures, coverage considerations, risk selection, and referral topics. Assist in the creation and implementation of product and coverage solutions that differentiate AXA XL in targeted Middle Market segments. Support pricing, rate, and portfolio discussions by providing industry-specific insight and helping connect underwriting strategy to portfolio performance. Serve as a liaison for regulatory and compliance considerations related to products, guidelines, and business strategies the Middle Market team intends to pursue. Create and update product materials, underwriting resources, training content, and stakeholder communications to support internal adoption and consistent execution. Build robust internal and external relationships with underwriting teams, brokers, insureds, and business partners to support product adoption, retention, and profitable growth. Represent the product and Industry Solutions team in internal forums, cross-functional working groups, and external industry discussions as needed. Travel as needed to support broker, client, underwriting, and industry engagement. You will report to the Head of Industry Solutions. What you will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Bachelor’s degree required; related professional designations (e.g., CPCU) preferred but not required. Extensive Commercial Property & Casualty experience, with exposure to product development, underwriting support, or pricing. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly. Team player with initiative and the ability to work without supervision when needed. Solid analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision making. Effective time management and ability to handle competing priorities. Understanding of risk management, regulatory considerations, and market practices in Property and Casualty. The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 132,000 - 257,100 . Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location.
