About the Larrakeyah Health Centre
Larrakeyah Health Centre is located at the Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City. Larrakeyah Defence Precinct is a unique tri-service Defence base directly supporting ADF operations & training. It is the home port of HMAS Coonawarra for Navy Patrol Boats and two Army Landing Craft. The facility has a routine dependency of 1100 personnel which surges every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals. The health centre provides primary medical, nursing, mental health, dental, physiotherapy and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements).
What you’ll do
Provide high-level health administration support with minimal supervision
Deliver timely, accurate, and professional administrative services
Coordinate patient administration, records, and clinic operations
Support multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient service delivery
Ensure compliance with Defence policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
What you bring
Minimum 2 years’ full-time experience in a primary healthcare or military setting (or equivalent)
Certificate III in Health Administration (or similar) – completed or currently enrolled
Medical terminology qualification from an RTO (or approved equivalent)
Medical terminology requirement may be waived with 5+ years’ relevant experience
