We're looking for someone who is still deeply connected to the craft, able to code, review architecture, and technically challenge the team every day. Think 60% leadership, 40% hands-on. If you've thrived in high-growth startups or scale-ups, shipped consumer apps to millions of users, and you still get excited by a clean architecture or a well-optimized render pipeline, this role was written for you.🎯 Your MissionOwn the delivery of the product vision from technical strategy to day-to-day executionMake key technical decisions, balancing innovation, velocity, and tech debt in a high-growth environmentLead, mentor, and grow your mobile engineering team, fostering extreme ownership and cross-functional collaborationStay hands-on: review code, challenge architectural choices, and set the technical bar alongside the teamEstablish clear performance objectives and provide guidance to ensure alignment with business and product goalsContinuously improve how we build: workflows, tooling, processes, and engineering cultureDrive AI integration opportunities to enhance user experience and product innovationScale the team as the product grows, building a world-class mobile engineering organizationQualifications✅ RequirementsProven track record building and scaling high-traffic B2C consumer apps (social, media, or entertainment), with millions of active users and real product impactStartup or scale-up DNA: you've navigated fast iteration cycles, ambiguity, and aggressive growth targets; you know what "moving fast without breaking things" actually meansProven experience leading both iOS and Android teams in product-driven, high-velocity environmentsStill deeply technical: you can roll up your sleeves, contribute to the codebase, and meaningfully challenge your engineers on architecture, performance, and trade-offsStrong product and business mindset: you think in terms of user impact, retention, and engagement, not just engineering ticketsData-driven leadership: you make decisions based on metrics, analytics, and business outcomesStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Design, QA, and BackendFluent in English / French is a plus🌟 Nice to HaveExpertise in streaming video, media frameworks, and real-time content deliveryExperience with AI/ML integration in mobile applicationsExperience with A/B testing frameworks and conversion optimizationActive involvement in mobile engineering communities or open-source contributionsAdditional InformationDon't check every box?
