The role ensures that strategy, priorities, operating rhythm, and execution are tightly aligned across Corporate Affairs and Communications, enabling the function to perform with clarity, discipline, and impact. In addition to owning the enterprise communications strategy to address ultra‑processed food (UPF) scrutiny, this role serves as a central operational leader for the global communications organization—driving governance, cadence, prioritization, and integration across teams, issues, executives, and markets. Responsibilities 1. Global Communications Operations (Core, Ongoing Responsibility) Serve as a senior operational leader for the day‑to‑day running of the global communications function. Set and maintain the operating cadence for global communications: Standing leadership forums and support for Communications Leadership Team (CLT) Ways of Working, processes, best practices, Centers of Excellence Function connectivity and communications Culture, learning Drive clarity of priorities , sequencing, and resourcing across competing demands. Act as a connective tissue between strategy, execution, and leadership expectations. 2. Enterprise Strategy Ownership Own the enterprise‑wide communications strategy to address UPF‑related headwinds, integrating: Fiber and protein storytelling Portfolio transformation progress GLP‑1 implications Away From Home and K‑12 channel considerations Policy communications Social Media, Digital Channels, including paid tactics Corporate Brand Communications Establish the narrative architecture (message hierarchy, proof points, guardrails, escalation principles). Ensure strategy is forward‑looking, proactive, and grounded in science, consumer insights and PepsiCo’s transformation. 3. Strategic Convening & Senior Stakeholder Alignment Convene leaders across Corporate Affairs and Communications to ensure shared understanding of priorities, risks, and narrative direction aligned with enterprise steering committee chaired by Steven Williams. Sit in regularly with: Andrea Foote’s media, issues, and crisis leadership team, Dan Strechay’s corporate communications organization, including R&D‑adjacent (Jaclyn Tyng) connection points and CA/PPGA Comms lead (open role) Translate enterprise strategy into clear, actionable direction for teams responsible for execution, and look end-to-end across workstreams to build broader strategy. 4. Executive Voice Strategy Own the executive deployment strategy for priority issues, with a primary focus on Steven Williams . Partner with his CBP and other CBPs for executive voices in the food space to ensure consistency in narrative. Ensure executive engagement is: Proactive, not reactive Strategically sequenced Consistent with and driving toward enterprise narrative Partner closely with Media, and Issues teams to operationalize executive positioning. 5. Agency Oversight & Insight‑Led Execution Oversee agency partner(s) supporting research and listening, message testing, insight generation and engagement plan. Ensure insights directly inform: Narrative refinement Executive talking points Channel and stakeholder strategy Develop and manage agency scope. Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $157,200 - $312,000. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 35% of annual salary paid out annually and an additional target payout of 15% of annual salary is paid out over 3 years following the end of the performance period. Long term incentive equity may be awarded based on eligibility and performance. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications 10-15 years of relevant experience across Communications or related positions including Enterprise Communications Strategy Demonstrated success with executive communications and stakeholder management and ability to integrate multiple teams into a single, aligned strategy and execution mode Project Management and Organizational Skills: Must excel in project management, translating complex visions into actionable plans, and driving projects forward with proactive, sustained management. Strong track record of navigating complex reputation or public policy issues Judgment and Decision-Making Skills: Ability to prioritize effectively and make swift, well-considered decisions. Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to a range of audiences and channels. Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences. Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive and proprietary information, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
