You’ll work alongside Product, Design, Data, and Engineering to design and deliver the backend services and APIs that power our advertising solutions, with strong standards for scalability, performance, and reliability.Join a highly experienced team passionate about building highly scalable, real-time distributed systems. We offer challenging work with direct business impact, opportunities to learn and grow, and a collaborative culture that encourages every team member to bring their point of view to the table.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and evolution of complex, scalable backend systems and servicesArchitect and build reusable, maintainable backend codebases, shared services, and internal librariesTranslate product and business requirements into technical backend designs and implementation plansDesign and maintain robust APIs, data models, and service integrationsEstablish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, documentation, performance, and reliabilityOwn backend features end-to-end: estimation, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvementMentor and support mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharingCollaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Data, and Infrastructure teams to align on goals, scope, and deliveryContribute to technical decision-making, architecture discussions, and long-term platform and scalability strategyQualificationsRequired SkillsProfessional English proficiency is mandatory for this roleStrong experience as a backend software engineer working on production-grade systemsProven expertise in Golang and building high-performance, concurrent backend servicesSolid understanding of backend system design and full application lifecycle management (design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, refactoring, and bug fixing)Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs (and/or gRPC) with proper versioning and documentationStrong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and query optimizationAbility to deliver high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code using industry best practicesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive solutions from concept to production Preferred SkillsDeep understanding of backend and distributed systems fundamentals: concurrency, networking, HTTP, authentication/authorization, caching, messaging, and fault toleranceExperience with microservices architectures and service-to-service communicationStrong experience with automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and contract testing)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflowsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Hands-on experience with production monitoring, logging, and debugging toolsExperience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, code reviews, and collaborative engineering practicesKnowledge of security best practices for backend systems (data protection, authentication flows, secrets management)Experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude) for coding assistance, debugging, refactoring, test generation, and improving developer productivityAdditional InformationDailymotion is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
