For Lonza's Capsultes & Health Ingredients at our Site in Colmar we are looking for a driven and passionate Scientist R&D Hard Capsules to join our dynamic team !

This role is based in Colmar. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families, if needed.

What you will do

  • Lead and contribute to scientific research projects from concept to delivery, including defining objectives, designing experiments, analyzing data, and communicating results.

  • Apply your scientific expertise to solve challenges, generate new ideas, and propose innovative approaches.

  • Collaborate effectively with internal partners to support progress toward project milestones.

  • Act as a growing technical expert, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across teams and functions.

  • Plan and execute studies using advanced scientific principles, delivering clear documentation, conclusions, and actionable insights.

  • Demonstrate some project management and problem‑solving skills, progressing work independently while seeking guidance when needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and produce high‑quality analyses and reports, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and data‑integrity standards.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture.

What we are looking for

  • Required degree : Master; PhD (preferred)

  • Field of study : Materials science, Chemical engineering, Food sciences, Pharmaceutical sciences, Polymer sciences, Chemistry

  • Industrial experience in an R&D environment if Master holder

  • Pharmaceutical Excipients industry an asset

  • Languages : English (business fluent); French (business fluent preferred)

  • Effective communicator and collaborator, ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
