Position Summary
The Remanufacturing Technician is responsible for the teardown, cleaning, inspection, testing, repair, refurbishment, assembly, packaging, and shipment preparation of parts and components in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, identifying nonconforming material, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to help deliver reliable products and customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
List the major duties and responsibilities, generally ordered by importance.
• Perform disassembly and teardown of small and large components using hand tools, pneumatic/electric tools, and material-handling equipment to recover parts for remanufacturing.
• Clean and prepare components by loading parts into baskets, racks, and cleaning equipment, ensuring parts are processed correctly for the next operation.
• Test components during teardown by loading and operating test equipment to verify performance and identify parts that meet or fail specifications.
• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished parts using precision measuring tools and engineering standards, document results, and isolate nonconforming material to protect quality.
• Assemble, package, and stage parts for shipment by operating presses, tools, and lifting equipment to complete products accurately and deliver them ready for customer and production needs.
Qualifications
Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in industrial manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the manual dexterity required to assemble, disassemble, and inspect components accurately.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to share knowledge with others.
• Demonstrated reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot equipment, parts, and process issues, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, quality control principles, and the use of measuring, testing, hand, torque, and powered industrial equipment.

Working Conditions
• Ability to work in safety-sensitive positions
• Ability to work with approved manufacturing chemicals such as grease, oil, etc.
• Required to reach above shoulders with arms and hands constantly
• Required to use hands to enter information into computer frequently
• Required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and controls constantly
• Required to sit, climb, balance, and crouch frequently
• Required to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to rotate through all jobs within a designated department
• Ability to work any job requested within a designated department to support overtime
• Ability to distinguish colors, markings, and other visual quality indicators
• Manual dexterity required to handle small components and measuring instruments

For this position, the base pay is set at $22.30/ hour, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
