Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager - Market Data to join a leading international organization based in Zurich, Switzerland.
This strategic role will focus on delivering strategic sourcing and commercial optimization initiatives across Market Data Services categories, supporting global stakeholders with supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization programs.
Key responsibilities as Procurement Manager - Market Data include:
Lead sourcing initiatives across Market Data Services categories, including market data, terminals, exchanges, indices, ratings, and information providers
Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, understanding business requirements and translating them into sourcing strategies
Manage tender processes, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract execution to deliver measurable value
Provide expert guidance on licensing models, contract compliance, and data usage rights
Identify cost optimization opportunities and support strategic initiatives focused on spend reduction and supplier rationalization
Monitor market developments and supplier trends to provide commercial insights and sourcing best practices
The ideal candidate profile:
Strong experience managing Market Data Services sourcing activities and vendor relationships
Deep understanding of the end-to-end MDS lifecycle, including licensing, commercial structures, and contract management
Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and deliver measurable savings
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working directly with senior business leaders
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working within Financial Services or other data-intensive environments is highly desirable
Degree qualified with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
