Accept Close Home Page Internal Mobility Process Explore our jobs Careers in China Language View profile Employee Login Search Jobs Job Description Job Alerts Link Apply now Process Engineer Level 1 Division: FAS DIV NORTH AMERICA Job Type: Unlimited Job Location: SIMPSONVILLE Job Description: The Process Engineer I is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives within a high-volume automotive production environment. Key Responsibilities Design and implement manufacturing processes that support production requirements, cycle time targets, and customer expectations. Develop standard work and manufacturing process documentation. Define production equipment specifications and support equipment procurement, installation, qualification, and launch activities. Support Engineering Change Management activities, ensuring process changes are implemented effectively. Analyze manufacturing performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and PC&L teams to resolve manufacturing issues and drive corrective actions. Support automation initiatives including robotics, automated testing systems, Poka-Yoke devices, and automated production equipment. Perform capacity analysis and line balancing activities to ensure alignment with customer demand and takt time requirements. Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate waste and improve process performance. Ensure ergonomics and safety considerations are incorporated into process and workstation design. Qualifications Section Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of engineering experience in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. Experience supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving methodologies. Experience supporting engineering changes and process documentation. Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP. Understanding of BOM management, MRP concepts, and ECN processes. Experience with robotics, automation systems, automated testing equipment, and Poka-Yoke solutions.
