Overview We’re Kingfisher, A team made up of over 74,000 passionate people who bring Kingfisher - and all our other brands: B&Q, Screwfix, Brico Depot, Castorama and Koctas to life. Guided by our purpose Better Homes. Better Lives. For Everyone. We believe a better world starts with better homes, and we work every day to make that a reality. Join us and help shape the future of home improvement. We have a brand new opportunity for a Portfolio Lead to join our Strategy, Architecture & Performance function, to provide end-to-end oversight of a technology portfolio, helping to shape priorities, inform investment decisions and ensure work is aligned to clear business outcomes while supporting future roadmaps and delivery plans. Working with a wide range of teams and stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering value, enabling growth and supporting continuous improvement. This role can be based out of any of our Head Office sites in Paddington, Southampton or Yeovil, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office and travel to sites across the Group as required. What's the job? Lead the management of the portfolio for the current financial year and three-year planning horizon, providing a clear view of work in delivery, planned activity and new demand. Facilitate annual and quarterly portfolio review cycles, ensuring priorities are aligned with business outcomes, capacity, dependencies, costs and risks. Partner with Technology Directors, Product teams and Chapters to support effective planning, governance and investment decision-making. Work closely with Finance teams to maintain financial integrity, support cost control and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities. Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actions that support successful delivery and strategic outcomes. Facilitate post-implementation reviews and use insights to encourage continuous improvement across portfolio management practices. Help shape and evolve portfolio ways of working across the Group, supporting change and guiding Portfolio Analysts within your area of responsibility. What you'll bring Strong experience of portfolio data management, analysis and reporting. Working knowledge of portfolio financial management, including investment planning, budgeting and forecasting. Ability to balance commercial considerations with business value and outcomes when assessing priorities and investment decisions. Experience working effectively across matrix environments, building trusted partnerships and influencing a broad range of stakeholders. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders. How We Work We believe in flexibility and balance. Our hybrid model blends home working for focus with time spent connecting and collaborating - whether in our offices or at offsite locations. On average, around 60% of your time will involve in-person collaboration. We value the perspectives new team members bring and encourage you to apply - even if you don’t meet 100% of the requirements.
