As Warehouse Pharmacist, you’ll help us deliver high-quality pharmaceutical logistics that support Australia’s Defence Forces. Working within the Medical and Dental Equipment Support Services (MDESS) team at Joint Logistics Unit (East), Moorebank, you’ll play an important part in the safe storage, handling, preparation and distribution of medical consumables and pharmaceuticals within a large range of Medical Kits. This is a hands-on role where your care, accuracy and professional judgement will help maintain compliance and operational readiness. You’ll join a collaborative team where your expertise will make a genuine difference every day.
As a Warehouse Pharmacist in the MDESS team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
Managing the receipt, storage, packaging, and distribution of medical consumables and pharmaceuticals as components of a wide range of Medical Kits
Preparing and dispensing medications, including labelling
Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and Defence protocols
Maintaining accurate records and monitoring controlled substances
Verifying orders, charges, and inventory inspections
Maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Bachelor of Pharmacy and current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
At least 2 years of experience as a practicing Pharmacist
Minimum 12 months’ experience in a wholesaling environment
Strong organisational and supervisory skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
An understanding of military logistics - desirable
Knowledge of the Defence Pharmaceutical Inventory Logistics System (PILS)/ Health Knowledge Management system (HKM) – desirable

You must be an Australian Citizen and either currently hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance - AGSVA Baseline Clearance or higher.
