We are looking for a talented HSE Project Specialist - Europe Powergen  to join our team specializing in Health and Safety in Chassieu, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across PowerGen installation, commissioning and delivery projects, using data, risk insights and continuous improvement methods to reduce risk and improve project HSE performance.
  • Partner with project managers, site teams, engineering functions and key stakeholders to ensure HSE requirements are embedded throughout PowerGen project execution.
  • Support installation, commissioning and delivery activities by ensuring Cummins standards and local European regulatory requirements are understood and consistently applied.
  • Lead project-specific HSE risk management, including review of RAMS, JSA equivalents, dynamic risk assessments and control measures for high-risk activities.
  • Verify site readiness before and during execution, ensuring appropriate controls are in place for work such as lifting operations, electrical work, confined space entry and permit-to-work activities.
  • Support contractor management across European project sites by leading onboarding, HSE induction and ongoing performance monitoring for contract HSE and field personnel.
  • Use HSE performance metrics, audit findings, incident investigations and legal compliance results to identify gaps, prioritize improvements and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
  • Influence a positive HSE culture by coaching teams, supporting formal training, encouraging employee participation and promoting practical solutions that protect people and the environment.
