It includes the Operational Deployment Force and facilities to undertake mission rehearsal exercises prior to deployment. The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical care to approximately 8000 members. It also operates a 24/7 inpatient low dependency ward. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally 0700-1630 Monday – Friday What you’ll do Work Monday and Tuesday delivering nursing care to Defence personnel under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse Provide outpatient care, and where required support inpatient care within a health centre or hospital setting Administer medications (where endorsed) in line with legislative requirements and clinical protocols Assist with patient assessments, treatment plans and health promotion activities Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and high-quality care What you bring Current unconditional and unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) Minimum two years’ post registration nursing experience in acute care, primary healthcare or similar setting within the last five years Medication endorsement (if applicable to role requirements) Commitment to clinical governance, infection control and high-quality patient care Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) Australian Citizenship required (baseline security clearance) Commitment to CPD and ongoing professional development Who we are Serco supports governments by delivering essential services across defence, health, justice, maritime and community services.
