The Cross‑Asset Sales, China is responsible for promoting Société Générale’s structured products franchise to China onshore and offshore institutional and distribution clients. The role covers client acquisition, product advisory, execution oversight, team leadership, and close coordination with Trading, Engineering, Risk, and other stakeholders.
Product and Market Expertise
Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of structured products, product features, trading conventions, and market dynamics.
Provide market advisory through relative value analysis and trade idea generation in close collaboration with Trading and -Engineering teams.
Dealing and Execution Oversight
Ensure client transactions are executed in line with SG’s internal execution standards and regulatory requirements, under the defined product mandate and client coverage.
Oversee the full trade lifecycle, including: Pre‑trade coordination: KYC onboarding, client capacity and suitability checks, credit approval processes, validation of legal documentation (e.g. NAFMII, SAC, ISDA, CSA, GMRA, term sheets, confirmations), and review of marketing materials.
Trade execution and confirmation: Execution, booking, and recording of transactions in compliance with SG standards and applicable regulations, ensuring adherence to sales credit, margin, and risk policies.
Post‑trade coordination: Settlement instructions, interaction with middle office and back‑office teams, and reporting and valuation processes with relevant support functions.
Teamwork and Internal Collaboration
Work closely with team members to ensure continuity of client coverage and business delivery.
Coordinate client meetings involving Trading, Research, and product partners.
Maintain strong Sales and Trading alignment.
Engage with sales teams regionally and globally to facilitate information sharing, cross‑selling, and client referrals.
Market Intelligence
Maintain deep understanding of client needs across segments and competitive offerings in the market.
Provide feedback to management, Trading, and Engineering teams to support platform and product development.
Reporting and Transparency
Ensure timely reporting of client meetings and activities to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate client and meeting records in internal CRM or CMU systems.
Escalate sensitive incidents or transactions to supervisors or relevant control functions as required.
Compliance and Risk Management
Adhere strictly to SG’s Sales Handbook, internal policies, and local regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance across KYC, credit checks, suitability processes, legal documentation, marketing approvals, booking standards, margin policy, CVA, and RAROC guidelines.
Escalate potential issues or incidents to management, COO, or Compliance on a timely basis.
Code of Conduct
Act in accordance with Société Générale’s Code of Conduct and internal policies.
Serve as the first line of defense against risks associated with professional activities through vigilance, proactive communication, and escalation of identified risks.
As a people manager, ensure adherence to rules and policies across all team members.
