The Strategy & RCP role is responsible for translating BBVA’s global strategy into actionable local business execution. This position orchestrates RCP business planning, client-centered strategies, and governance frameworks to ensure alignment between global strategic imperatives and local market execution. The role partners closely with corporate functions, business units, and commercial teams to drive sustainable growth, strategic clarity and operational excellence in the French market.

Key Responsibilities
Local Strategy Execution: translate global strategic priorities into clear, actionable plans tailored to the French market; coordinate with regional and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution integrity.
Market & Competitive Analysis: conduct market research, competitive benchmarking and trend analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks; prepare insights that inform leadership decisions.
Client Planning, Monitoring & Profitability: lead the development, tracking, and refinement of business and client plans that support revenue, portfolio expansion and competitive positioning in France. Define, monitor and report on key performance indicators and milestones for strategic programs; recommend adjustments based on data and market feedback.
Client Coverage Governance & Engagement: establish and oversee client governance structures that ensure consistent, high-quality engagement and decision-making across key client segments. This includes coordinating cross-functional oversight and escalation mechanisms.
Strategic Deliverables & Executive Communication: prepare high-impact strategic materials, executive presentations, business cases, dashboards and performance summaries with rigorous attention to detail.
Cross-functional Coordination & Leadership: work closely with product, commercial, risk, finance and operations teams to ensure integrated planning and seamless execution of strategic initiatives.

This role is critical in ensuring that BBVA France effectively operationalizes its global strategy at the local level. By driving coherent business plans, robust client governance and disciplined execution, the Strategy & Business Development leader enables stronger market positioning, sustainable growth and better commercial outcomes. The role contributes to strategic clarity, operational alignment, and delivers insights that shape key decisions across the organization.
Role requirements
At least 10 years of professional experience in business development, front (product specialist or client coverage) or related strategic planning functions.
Problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach and a results-oriented mindset.
Client & Business plans leadership, promoting prospects mapping, client onboarding, uptiering or Xsell monitoring.
Demonstrated ability to produce strategic deliverables and executive-level materials (e.g., presentations, business cases, dashboards) with high attention to detail.
Experience in market analysis, strategic planning, and business governance in a complex financial services environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
Preferred: Knowledge of client and business tools/databases relevant to Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) to support analysis and decision-making.
