Responsibilities: Define the strategic asset allocation and the investment policy of AXA HK: Accountable for the whole investment chain from strategic asset allocation to tactical asset allocation to portfolio management. Ensures asset-liability management (“ALM”) models are based on sound financial assumptions by assessing investment performance against expectation and recommending necessary assumption changes. Propose and implement strategic asset allocations within risk limits for existing and new products, using results from ALM models Review and update AXA HK’s investment policy to be aligned with the strategic asset allocations and risk limits, and reflect any change in Group guidelines Ensure effective investment compliance policies, processes, governance, in line with the AXA Group standards and policies. Run the Management Investment and ALM Committee. Manage the investment assets of AXA HK to meet the investment objectives: Develop mandates from the investment policy, and properly delegate to fund managers, with Group and global investment community support. Ensure the investment process is under stringent control with clear segregation of duties, appropriate procedures from all parties: mainly investment team, fund managers and traders. Evaluate on an ongoing basis performances and services of the fund managers Consider new investment strategies and review market opportunities. Prepare the General Account investment plan and monitor its realization through the year. Contribute to various Group taskforces Contribute to the determination of the company’s investment objectives in the planning process: Proposes key financial assumptions to be used in the planning in relation to ALM. Provides assessment of financial (investment but also capital, etc.) strategies and recommend any necessary change. Monitor realization of investment income objectives and other key targets, including credited rate to policyholders. Involve in products and balance sheet management: Collaborate with product teams to ensure life insurance products are designed to meet the company's strategies, risk appetite, and deliver sustainable returns and supporting business growth. Support the creation of innovative life insurance solutions by integrating market trends, investment performance considerations, and regulatory requirements to enhance competitiveness. Lead balance sheet management activities, including capital management and liquidity planning, to maintain financial stability and discipline. Coordinate with risk, actuarial, and finance teams to develop investment strategies that enhance product offerings and strengthen the overall financial position of the organization. Lead Internal and External Representation & Thought leadership Serve as the company's spokesperson at industry conferences, seminars, and media engagements, representing the organization to enhance brand visibility and credibility. Actively promote the company's investment strategies, achievements, and corporate values to internal and external stakeholders, including business and distribution leaders, investors and partners, to strengthen employer branding and industry positioning. Engage with distributors, clients, and industry peers to foster strong relationships, communicate investment insights, and support business development initiatives. Contribute to Investment & ALM community Advisory and support to entities when requested on Investment and ALM Qualifications: Degree or higher level in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or similar subject Over 15 years of experience in asset allocation, portfolio management and financial markets Several years of experience in actuarial modeling to support ALM and strategic asset allocation decisions a plus Technical understanding and experience in handling sophisticated market instruments (e.g., derivatives) preferable Excellent stakeholder management skills and business acumen for managing and developing a business function About AXA Hong Kong and Macau AXA Hong Kong and Macau is a member of the AXA Group, a leading global insurer with presence in 52 markets and serving 92 million customers worldwide.
