As a Bid Writer / Coordinator in our ASPAC Sales team, you’ll help develop compelling, persuasive and high-quality bid and tender responses for government and private-sector customers. You’ll work closely with sales teams and subject matter experts to understand customer requirements, shape strong responses and coordinate submissions from start to finish. Based in Sydney and reporting to the Director Capture and Proposals, you’ll play an important role in helping Serco create solutions that make a positive impact.
As a Bid Writer / Coordinator in the Capture and Proposals team, you’ll make a positive impact by:
Working with Sales and subject matter experts to develop pre-qualification, EOI and tender responses
Analysing client requirements and translating complex information into clear, customer-focused content
Coordinating bid activities, contributors, actions and deadlines to keep submissions on track
Writing persuasive executive summaries, cover letters and bid responses aligned to customer needs
Editing and proofreading tender content to ensure accuracy, consistency and a strong Serco voice
Managing document production, templates and bid library content while supporting continuous improvement

Exceptional written communication, editing and proofreading skills
Experience writing and coordinating bids, proposals, tenders or similar business documents
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts
Excellent organisation and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality, accuracy and compliance
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
You’ll bring demonstratable experience in a Bid Writer, Proposal Writer, or Tender Coordinator, with experience preparing responses to RFTs, RFQs, EOIs, RFPs or tenders.
A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Business or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience with government procurement, bid management platforms and APMP best practice will also support your success.
