Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Junior Assistant Financial Controller to join our Finance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting core accounting activities, including month-end close tasks, statutory and tax filings, and ensuring compliance with both French and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
You will join a dynamic, international finance team that provides hands-on exposure to global accounting standards and professional development in a fully remote environment based in France.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Execute Financial Reporting and Compliance: Assist with month-end close activities, including reviewing journal entries and documenting reconciliations between French and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
Collaborate on Audits and Tax Filings: Partner with internal stakeholders and external auditors to gather documentation for Value Added Tax (VAT) filings, statutory accounts, and internal financial controls.
- Optimize Accounting Processes: Develop and maintain standardized procedure documentation to support accurate balance sheet reviews and identify opportunities for process improvements.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Educational Foundation: A recent degree (or final-year status) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Knowledge: A basic understanding of French Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Communication Skills: Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) to effectively collaborate across international teams.
Professional Attributes: A detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving within a multinational regulatory environment, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)-lite compliance.
