1. Overall Purpose The Assistant Director of Sales supports the Director of Sales in leading all sales activities, driving revenue performance, and positioning the hotel in the market, in line with Hyatt corporate strategies and brand standards. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Sales Leadership & Execution Assist in leading and managing the Sales team across segments (Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Government). Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets. Ensure sales activities align with overall hotel positioning and brand direction. B. Revenue Generation & Market Strategy Maximize room, banquet, and F&B revenue through proactive sales initiatives. Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to adjust strategy. C. Key Account Management Build and maintain strong relationships with top corporate clients, travel agents, and event organizers. Personally manage key accounts and high-value clients. Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client entertainment. D. Team Development & Performance Management Coach, train, and develop Sales Managers to achieve targets. Conduct performance reviews and set clear KPIs. Foster a high-performance and results-driven sales culture. E. Collaboration & Cross-Department Alignment Work closely with: Revenue Management (pricing strategy) Marketing (campaigns & branding) F&B and Events (banquet sales maximization) Ensure seamless coordination for group and event execution. F. Budgeting & Reporting Assist Director of Sales in: Annual budgets and forecasts Monthly sales reports and performance tracking Analyze data and implement corrective actions to meet targets. G. Brand & Compliance Ensure adherence to Hyatt brand standards and sales processes. Maintain compliance with corporate sales systems (e.g., Hyatt tools, reporting standards). H. Acting Leadership Role Act as Director of Sales in absence (important for succession readiness). Support strategic decision-making at management level. 1. Minimum 5–8 years in Sales within international hotels . At least 2–3 years in senior sales leadership role (e.g., Senior Sales Manager, Sales Manager). Experience in 5-star or luxury hotel environment preferred . Strong understanding of hotel revenue streams (Rooms, Events, F&B). Proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets. Ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives. Strong market analysis and opportunity identification skills. Strong coaching and mentoring capability. Ability to manage and inspire a diverse sales team. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills. Strong presentation and communication abilities in English. Strong network within corporate, government, and MICE segments. Ability to build long-term partnerships.
