Overview A strategic leadership role accountable for optimizing PepsiCo-owned warehouses and distribution centres across South Africa, ensuring alignment to AOP targets, service levels, and sector directives. The role drives end-to-end logistics execution, network efficiency, and cost performance while leading large, cross-functional teams and third-party partners to deliver best-in-class warehouse operations and customer service. Responsibilities Lead and execute national logistics operations to achieve AOP targets, including cost, volume, and service levels (>95%) Manage and optimize the distribution network, ensuring inventory accuracy and efficient warehouse practices Oversee all warehouses, distribution centres, and 3PL partnerships to ensure operational excellence and compliance standards Drive network optimization, productivity initiatives, and P&P projects to improve efficiency and reduce inventory levels Implement systems and transformation initiatives (e.g., EWM) across DCs and warehouses Monitor, report, and deliver key logistics KPIs including service level, stock cover, and case fill rates Lead, develop, and build capability within a large, multi-level operations team Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Transport, Fleet, and BU stakeholders to ensure alignment and performance delivery Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Economics; postgraduate qualification (MBA / Logistics) advantageous 10+ years’ experience in warehouse and logistics management within a complex, large-scale environment Strong leadership capability with experience managing large teams and driving performance outcomes Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and cross-functional environment with strong stakeholder influencing skills Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools
