We are seeking an experienced imcumbent responsible for demand planning activities, stock inventory control, and logistics activities to ensure product availability and efficient supply chain operations. Working closely with Sales, Operations team, Finance, Global factory and logistics providers, the role supports accurate forecasting, inventory optimization, and timely product delivery while maintaining high service levels and controlling supply chain costs.
Responsibilities
Summary of Duties
Master Data – requesting new or changing item codes and SDS
Completing all stages of IBP throughout the month
Reviewing and planning stock orders/forward orders – monthly and in between as required to maintain inventory levels
Update demand planning tool with SOH, sales and stock orders - monthly
Collaborating with suppliers on availability, shipping costs etc
Collecting & reviewing shipping charges and freight invoices
CIF Orders: placing, tracking, documents to customer, GR and SOEC invoicing
Bulk shipments: placing, shipping documents, adhering to purchase agreement, GR and SOEC invoicing
Arrange customer DDP orders
Raising of POs in SUN6 and issuing to suppliers – including updating to align with invoice and shipping docs
Build strong working relationships with key contacts
Review &approve B/L’s and shipping documents
Shipment tracking, following up on shipments/orders, providing feedback as requested
Update shipping spreadsheet (current orders, delays and ETA’s)
Investigate extra shipping charges for detention, cleaning, damages etc
Entering supplier Non-Compliance into Synergi (internal system) and follow up issues to resolution
Monitoring the supply chain inbox
Collaborate with Freight Forwarder
Participate in monthly meetings with global planners
Inventory control
Create and action all MTR’s (stock transfers) with transport
Stock Adjustments
GR shipments
Stocktakes as required
EOM duties as required
Participate in audits as required
HESQ & Product Stewardship
Undertake all HESQ training as required.
Manage responsibilities in accordance with Product Stewardship requirements.
Problem Solving
Must always be prepared to solve problems arising from unplanned events, including insufficient product availability, changes in shipment plan, etc. in coordination with country planners, operations, YML and production plants.
Communication
Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.
Open and positive attitude and able to communicate and interact well with/in different cultures and disciplines
Other
Team player, self-motivated, adaptable and committed.
Other duties as instructed by the direct & indirect reporting lines.
Profile
Experience:
5 years’ experience in similar roles in supply chain environment is mandatory
Advanced experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
Systems orientated – Pronto/ SAP/ Sun 6 experience is preferred
Proficiency:
High level of attention to detail
Self-starter, proactive, strong work ethic and highly committed
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Languages:
Fluent English is essential
