Overview
To provide end-to-end leadership of logistics operations within GR, driving integration across 3PL, transportation, warehousing, and MEM to ensure best-in-class service, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
The role balances strong local ownership with regional alignment, enabling the successful execution of G2M transformation initiatives and delivering sustainable productivity improvements.
Responsibilities
Design and execute the GR Logistics strategy for PSP horizon
Manage the complex network of 3rd Party Logistics providers as well as service providers – copacking activities
Cost Control Total Logistics (Snacks and Beverages) - review day to day warehousing and distribution expenses and take corrective actions balancing cost and service, make period reviews, providing the Finance Reporting with period accruals, interact with Finance for charging the right accounts with the right invoices, make the Cause Of Change for Warehousing, Freight, Distribution and Total Logistics on a period basis, make the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the Logistics Department identifying expenses and productivities, provide Finance Planning and Sales Development departments all necessary logistics cost information for the Profit and Loss analysis’s of a product or project.
Product Flow and Imported Goods (Snacks and Beverages) - ensure the product flow and availability of perfect product, promotional activities as well as promo tools and POP material, maintain close relationships with Production, Marketing and Trade Marketing, Planning and Purchasing to jointly resolve product flow and replenishment issues, use corporate tools such as Demand Planning to organize the product flow and overcome product shortages, ensure assets safeguarding via physical counts where assessed necessary, be a key player in product recall incidents, organize and manage the supply from local and foreign suppliers, ensure transportation capability for the on time supplying of all imported products at beneficial prices, manage both the agreements with suppliers and the transportation contracts.
Reports and KPI's – ensure the issue and be responsible for the accuracy as well, of all department’s reports and Scorecards by setting and agreeing SMART targets, train appropriately personnel to maintain and expand the reporting system, train appropriately personnel to use corporate databases, identify needs for new reports and indices and find ways to extract them, use the reports to solve operational issues, use the reports to manage supplier's contracts, analyse sales and logistics data to develop logistics strategies.
Suppliers contact, negotiations and contracts - identify needs for equipment and services, ask for and compare offers, negotiate prices, ensure the provision of the best equipment and/or service on the low cost-high quality base, manage the performance of contracts made with service providing companies such as third party warehousing and transportation companies, communicate daily with such providers to solve warehouse and distribution issues.
Finished Goods and Raw Materials Warehouses (Snacks and Beverages) - ensure the operational capability of FG and RM warehouses in both snacks and beverages plants , develop warehousing strategies to overcome capacity constraints, identify needs and opportunities, measure personnel efficiencies, provide appropriate support and training to warehouse supervisors and personnel in new methods (e.g. ABC locations) and technologies (e.g. Warehouse Management System).
Attica Sales and Distribution Centers - ensure the everyday operation of the two Sales DCs, organize the DCs, develop replenishment and layout strategies to overcome capacity constraints and maintain service levels, reengineer the DCs to operate according to Sales requirements, identify equipment and personnel needs for the efficient and effective operation of the DCs, identify and develop new sites when Tasty needs cannot be met by the existing sites, act as a contact between Tasty and sites owners, make proposals and corrections to the contracts for the best of Tasty, provide appropriate support to in-site supervisors to solve operational and service issues
Regional Third Party Distribution Centers (Snacks and Beverages) – ensure the performance and the product availability of the 8 regional third party DCs in snacks and 6 regional third party DCs in beverages, to meet service to sales, identify needs for the proper and according to PepsiCo’s rules operation of the DC’s, initiate changes, provide appropriate support to in-site supervisors and solve operational and service issues.
Freight and Distribution - collaborate daily with Distribution Supervisors to jointly resolve distribution issues, act as an advisor to all of the Distribution Supervisors for cost matters, propose corrective actions, ensure the compliance of all third party freight and distribution contracts.
Project Management & G2M Transformation - Ensure interface between PepsiCo, 3PL, and contractors for all logistics projects; Lead G2M transformation initiatives (e.g., x-docks, direct
distribution models); Drive Capex and productivity (“Do Better”) agenda; Supervise project timelines and mitigate risks of operational disruption.
MEM – ensure the proper procedures of contracts with wholesalers and customers as well, support and validate the department’s scorecard, present and discuss monthly results in weekly business meetings, coordinate placements and redraws from the market, support timely and in a cost efficient way repairs in the market, organise in house repairs and refurbishments, ensure reconciliation between MEM base and FAR, propose acquisition of new equipment in compliance with MEM Sector targets, implement MEM-X standards and ensure proper procedures have been introduced.
People Management - Ensure PepsiCo Values and the Code of Conduct are well embedded into the group.
Health and Safety
Support the contractor management process including reviewing HSE performance of major approved contractors, monitoring contractors on site, maintaining a log of risk assessments and method statements
Support the HSE policy and programs as related to legal compliance
Ensure all new employees and contractors receive HSE orientation
Support HSE policies and programs in a fashion that is recognizable and valued by all employees
Lead programs that encourage wellness and occupational health
Support HSE goals and ensure processes are in place to ensure accountability and responsibility for HSE
Review HSE performance with on at least a quarterly basis
Participate in accident investigations, assuring that root causes are identified and corrective actions are specified
Tour the department bi-monthly, for HSE
Actively notice, support, and reinforce safe work practices, job procedures, and desired HSE behaviors of employees
Confront all unsafe behaviors immediate, remove obstacles and constraints to working safely
Know the potential hazards and necessary control measures for their job
Report hazards, accidents, injuries, illnesses, emergencies, etc.
Participate in HSE activities and training and demonstrate safe behavior and work procedures
Correctly and consistently follow key safe behaviors
Read and follow all safe work procedures and rules and report all observed unsafe working conditions
Qualifications
Extensive experience (+5–10 years) in end-to-end Supply Chain and Logistics operations, with strong exposure across 3PL management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution execution in complex environments.
Proven track record in leading large-scale logistics operations, including management of multi-site warehousing and national distribution networks, with full accountability for service, cost, and performance delivery.
Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers, with the ability to translate customer and sales requirements into effective logistics solutions that optimize cost-to-serve while maintaining service excellence.
Demonstrated experience in G2M (Go-to-Market) transformation initiatives, including redesign of distribution models (e.g., direct delivery, x-docks), delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and service levels.
Solid experience in 3PL partnership management, including contract governance, performance management, and negotiation of service and cost improvements.
Advanced knowledge of transportation and fleet operations, including route optimization, network design, and compliance requirements.
Strong expertise in warehouse operations management, including capacity planning, productivity improvement, and inventory control for both FG and RM.
Experience in MEM or similar asset-intensive operations, ensuring effective control, optimization, and loss reduction.
Proven ability to manage logistics budgets and deliver productivity targets, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and financial discipline
Demonstrated experience in leading and developing diverse, cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on capability building and performance culture.
Strong experience in operating within matrix organizations, balancing local market priorities with regional or functional alignment.
Ability to lead through change and transformation, managing organizational redesign, role integration, and stakeholder alignment with minimal business disruption.
Experience in influencing senior stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Plant)
