THE ROLE
Studio Administrator/Field Education Trainer (FET)
Studio Administrator/Field Education Trainer is a hybrid role that supports and helps grow salon business through directed Education and enabling Go-to-Market strategies of Wella Professionals. In addition, this role will support the day-to-day operations of the Toronto Wella Studio located at 171 East Liberty Street, Toronto. This role will be assigned to support a designated geographical territory and assumes that the candidate has a valid driver’s license.
Job Responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day business/activities at Wella Studio Toronto
Plan & prepare for seminars and events – candidate should have a keen eye for attention to detail for end-to-end successful execution, such as: ensuring Studio is stocked and organized, send customer confirmations, follow up with seminar attendees, manage model recruitment, mannequin orders, lunch orders and maintain studio cleanliness during seminar.
Support Studio Manager with planning, organizing and execution of customer events.
Receptionist duties - Embody and maintain high standards of customer service with customers, internal and external.
Act as an owner of the Studio business to increase Studio awareness, utilization, revenue and loyalty through proactive training of staff and upselling seminars. Track and manage attendee sign-up.
Utilize Wellabooking System (Back End System) and partner with sales team to register seminar attendees & Wella Rewards Ticketing
Manage Studio Retail Area. Responsible for Merchandise Displays and ensuring we have the latest Initiatives.
Manage inventory of products in Wella Studio space.
Gain proficiency with Shortcuts Point of Sale software.
Support office needs, including shipping and office supply replenishment.
Maintain weekly Seminar tracker to communicate seminar sell through or help needed.
Conduct education seminars, salon education plans (JEP’s), salon visits, area events and shows as directed by the Regional Education Manager, Sales Meetings, Tailor Made Education, Store Visits, Store Seminars, sales prospecting (detailing), support Wella Rewards Salon touch points, deliver virtual education, drive social media to build following.
Lead trainings and launch new materials to existing and new salon customers, sales partners, and local Brand Educators
Execute trainings, events and shows
Ensure success of all major events, activities, and conversions in the assigned geographical area
Organize, plan, and conduct Education activities and events to generate sales of Wella and all brands associated to the Wella Company
Collaborate with external partners (All distribution channels- Distributor)
Build positive working relationships with assigned accounts to ensure growth of Wella and all brands associated to the Wella Company.
Support and partner with Sales in creating customer loyalty and new customer acquisition.
Participate National / divisional meetings and trainings (Virtual and In Person)
Handle related duties and assignments as necessary.
Attend national and divisional company meetings to learn about promotions and activities, development of new technical and sales techniques, and new product introductions
Working days in this role vary based on business needs
Skills Requirement
Reporting skills – maintain activity reports, expense reports, itineraries, or any other miscellaneous or requested written reports
Mastery in technical skills – color application, cut/style/finish
Robust Presentation skills
Active on Social Media
Maintain professional and fashionable image
Ability to energize, engage and enable customers / salons when conducting seminars and trainings
Flexibility and adaptability to change
Good oral and written communication skills
Minimum 3 years of salon experience
Minimum 2 years demonstrating, teaching or presentation experience preferred.
* Must possess valid cosmetology license within the province of residence (if required)
*Must possess a valid driver’s license/passport and ability to drive and travel long distances for extended periods
Must be available to work most Sundays, and some evenings/weekends as needed for events
Proficient in Outlook applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
