Who are we?
NAMSA is the European leader in consulting and evaluation services for medical devices and associated biotechnologies.
NAMSA was the world’s first independent company to focus exclusively on medical device safety. The company began testing medical devices even before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) started regulating these products in 1976.

Who are we looking for?
- A trainnee at the position of Technical Sales Advisor for 6-8 months.
- You are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (M2) with a specialization in Biology or any related discipline.
- Ideally, you have some knowledge of medical devices.
- You are detail‑oriented, dynamic, and well organized.
- You demonstrate a strong team spirit and good adaptability.
- You are able to work in strict compliance with procedures, protocols, and deadlines.
- Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- You have a good command of scientific English, both written and spoken.
Your duties :
- Support the delivery of high‑quality service at assigned locations, contributing to positive client experiences and satisfaction.
- Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals within a core laboratory functional area, including gathering information, supporting study design, and assisting with cost development.
- Collaborate with Technical Sales Advisors, subject matter experts (SMEs), and operational teams to help ensure proposal content aligned with client needs and technical requirements.
- Gain exposure to technical and regulatory review processes, including understanding proposal accuracy requirements and ISO 17025 compliance principles.
- Help prepare and organize new and revised proposals for delivery to clients, including outlining next steps for proposal acceptance and sample submission.
- Follow up on proposal requests to help collect missing information required for proposal development.
- Support tracking and follow‑up of pending proposals for designated clients to assist in progressing opportunities toward closure.
- Build cross‑functional relationships with Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Technical Sales Advisors to support a collaborative client-focused workflow.
- Assist the Commercial and Laboratory teams in identifying potential Laboratory and Consulting opportunities.
- Work alongside Business Development Executives and Commercial leadership to support regional sales objectives and pipeline activities.
- Contribute to early-stage opportunity identification by researching client needs and escalating potential opportunities to senior team members.
- Support SMEs and operational management in the costing and development of complex or non-standard proposals.
- Help ensure technical documentation and proposal justifications were properly saved and available for Operations handoff.
- Maintain opportunity updates in Salesforce, supporting accurate tracking of proposal status (e.g., pending, closed won, closed lost).
- Assist with proposal revisions based on laboratory feedback or client requests.
- Develop technical knowledge and commercial awareness by supporting Sales & Marketing teams and participating in cross‑functional discussions.
Practical Information
- Contract: 6‑8 months internship
- Location: Ideally would be able to work at Chasse‑sur‑Rhône near Lyon, otherwise, we would also be able to consider remote.
- Accessibility: Easily accessible from Lyon (departures from Lyon 7 Jean‑Macé or Perrache). The NAMSA site is located just a 5‑minute walk from Chasse‑sur‑Rhône train station.
