Job Description Senior Manager, Mobile Architect At Publicis Sapient, we help organizations unlock value through digital business transformation—building products and platforms that matter to our clients and their customers. As a Senior Manager of Mobile Engineering, you will lead the architecture, delivery, and evolution of enterprise-scale mobile platforms across iOS and Android. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and platform strategy—defining mobile architecture standards, influencing enterprise design decisions, and enabling teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences at scale. This role requires strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to translate complex business problems into scalable mobile solutions aligned with long-term client impact. Responsibilities Your Impact Lead and govern a scalable, multi-module mobile platform architecture (iOS and Android) enabling multiple cross-functional teams to deliver independently and in parallel Define and drive architectural patterns for intelligent mobile clients, including local orchestration engines, autonomous task execution, and seamless cloud interaction Direct the execution of high-precision, battery-optimized location-aware systems, including background tracking and geofencing capabilities Architect platform-native, on-demand delivery strategies integrated with OTA configuration to optimize binary size, improve release velocity, and decouple personalization from app store cycles Partner with enterprise architects to design secure, high-throughput integration layers (e.g., REST, GraphQL) across payment systems, loyalty platforms, and distributed backend services Establish and govern release management practices, including release trains, feature toggle lifecycle, kill-switch protocols, branching strategies, and environment promotion gates Embed security, dependency auditing, and secrets management into CI/CD pipelines while overseeing app store governance (phased releases, expedited reviews, version deprecation) Collaborate with leadership across Mobile Engineering, AI/Data Science, Product, UX/UI, and Security to translate business roadmaps into technical execution strategies Design and implement a token-driven UI architecture that integrates design primitives into platform-native code, enabling consistency and faster delivery across teams Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) and agentic workflows to accelerate development and reduce repetitive tasks Partner with platform and data teams to ensure adoption of APM, error reporting, and analytics standards while enforcing performance and quality gates Champion the integration of on-device ML models and local inference capabilities to deliver low-latency, privacy-first user experiences Build and develop high-performing engineering teams through mentorship, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration Qualifications Your Skills & Experience Extensive experience building and scaling enterprise mobile applications across iOS and/or Android Proven experience defining and implementing large-scale mobile architectures (modular, multi-team, platform-driven) Deep understanding of mobile system design, performance optimization, and background processing capabilities Experience designing and integrating mobile platforms with enterprise backend systems and APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and application lifecycle management Experience implementing security best practices in mobile platforms, including dependency management and secrets handling Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and align engineering outcomes with business goals Experience working in Agile environments with distributed teams and complex delivery landscapes Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences Set Yourself Apart Experience leading mobile platform transformations for large enterprises or digital transformation programs Deep expertise in design systems, token-based UI architecture, and enabling design–engineering integration at scale Experience with mobile observability, analytics governance, and performance optimization frameworks Familiarity with on-device ML, edge computing, or AI-assisted application experiences Track record of building and mentoring engineering teams and scaling engineering capabilities Demonstrated behaviors aligned with Publicis Sapient values such as Learning Mindset, Inclusive Collaboration, and Partnering for Client Impact—particularly driving long-term stakeholder outcomes and cross-team alignment at scale Ability to anticipate future technology trends and translate innovation into practical business solutions Additional Information An inclusive workplace that promotes diversity and collaboration.
