Amazon's marketplaces process billions of transactions across hundreds of thousands of sellers in dozens of countries. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reconcilability of this data at scale — before it's shared with tax authorities — is a complex, high-stakes analytical challenge. This is a data role first and foremost. A tax background is a benefit, but not a requirement — the regulatory context is something you'll pick up quickly. In this role, you'll own the reconciliation and validation of 3P data-sharing submissions globally, covering frameworks such as DAC7, OECD Model Reporting Rules, CESOP, China PN15, and Mexico Digital Access. You'll build the methodologies that ensure nothing leaves the team without being validated, reconciled, and explainable — designing frameworks from the ground up, identifying anomalies at scale, and driving root cause resolution across datasets covering hundreds of thousands of sellers. You'll partner cross-functionally with Tax, FinTech, GTD, and business stakeholders across Europe and International, and engage directly with senior leadership to communicate findings and escalate risks. At Amazon, we believe that in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and innovation. While we allow flexibility for personal circumstances, we generally expect employees to work from our offices five days a week. This approach has consistently shown that spontaneous interactions, rapid problem-solving, and the energy of in-person teamwork lead to better results for our customers. In particular, our data shows that teams working together in person are more effective at making complex decisions, onboarding new team members, and fostering the kind of creative collaboration that has driven Amazon's success. The serendipitous hallway conversations and impromptu whiteboarding sessions that happen naturally in an office environment have proven invaluable to our invention process and maintaining our high bar for excellence.
