SPIE Global Services Energy is currently looking for Metering Specialist to join its workforce in Angola. Key Responsibilities Includes:Maintenance OperationsOrganise and perform on-site maintenance operations (proactive and reactive).Assist the Preparation/Planning team by providing technical support for job preparation.Take full ownership of systems/equipment during breakdowns through to restoration.Identify recurrent corrective maintenance, analyse root causes, propose improvements.Reporting & DocumentationProduce detailed technical reports on maintenance findings, equipment condition and corrective actions.Prepare and issue periodic progress reports (weekly/monthly) to onshore and offshore management; reports must meet standards of clarity, conciseness and completeness.Maintain accurate records of metering data, calibration histories, maintenance logs and SAP/CMIMS configurations.Document all interventions, field measurements and calibration data rigorouslyRoot Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)Conduct RCFA on metering equipment failures.Analyse failure patterns, prepare RCFA reports, implement corrective/preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.Proactively identify recurring anomalies and escalate findings with solutions to the onshore Methods Engineer.Planning & Coordination Plan and prioritise metering maintenance activities per operational and production requirements.Liaise with onshore Method Engineers, Maintenance Superintendents and FMSand relevant personnel to resolve technical issues.Maintain structured communication between offshore and onshore teams with timely updates.Coordinate with all parties to ensure seamless execution of metering activities.Specific technical ActivitiesCustody Transfer & Fiscal MeteringOperate, maintain and calibrate custody transfer metering systems: flow computers, provers and supervisory systems.Ensure accurate flow computation via Emerson S600+ and DeltaV.Carry out batch proving, K-factor checks and meter factor validations during cargo offtakes.Equipment Monitoring & CalibrationPerform regular structured monitoring surveys to assess condition, detect anomalies and ensure operational readiness.Manage calibration, verification and troubleshooting of Emerson Elite Coriolis, turbine, magnetic and ultrasonic flare gas meters.Utilise Kelton Meter Manager, FLO CALC or equivalent calibration software.Ensure compliance with ISO/API standards for fiscal and allocation metering.Proactive TroubleshootingProactively monitor metering systems to anticipate shutdowns or performance degradation.Demonstrate initiative in diagnosing and resolving anomalies with minimal operational disruption.Provide rapid response to alarms, breakdowns and discrepancies with clear, documented resolution steps
