Serco has supported over 50 ESA missions where our teams have helped launch satellites, guide spacecraft across the void and turn data into discoveries that reshape our world. With thousands of specialists contributing across the entire space lifecycle from satellite testing to launch services, LEOP to operations and surveillance, we’ve become a trusted force in national And European space strategies. And now, the next chapter could include you.
We are looking for a Solutions Lead to join our team in Spain and work on a full time, permanent position. As a Service & Solution Management Specialist (DestinE), you will play a key role in supporting the attractiveness, adoption, and initial operations of innovative Earth Observation and Digital Twin-based services within the DestinE ecosystem. You will contribute to ensuring that services are not only successfully deployed and operated, but also attract and retain users, demonstrate long-term sustainability, and deliver measurable value to the wider DestinE community.
The role requires a combination of systems thinking, service lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement, operational monitoring, and analytical capabilities. Working at the intersection of engineering, operations, and business, you will collaborate with technical teams, service operators, platform stakeholders, and end users to support service evolution from onboarding through operational maturity. You will contribute to the definition of service attractiveness strategies, user adoption initiatives, long-term operations planning, KPI monitoring, and service performance analysis, while helping ensure alignment between user needs, operational objectives, and sustainability goals. The role also involves supporting community engagement activities, service demonstrations, training initiatives, and continuous improvement actions that enhance the visibility, usability, and impact of the service within the DestinE ecosystem.
Main Responsibilities:
Support the definition and evolution of service attractiveness, adoption, and long-term sustainability strategies.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of Long-Term Operations Plans (LTOP), including service positioning, user engagement, and operational sustainability considerations.
Analyse user needs, market trends, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for service improvement and growth.
Prepare and maintain service documentation, demonstration material, training content, and communication assets supporting user adoption.
Contribute to community engagement activities, including workshops, events, publications, and interactions with the DestinE ecosystem.
Support service operations by monitoring performance, availability, and attractiveness indicators, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives and service levels.
Define, monitor, and analyse operational and attractiveness KPIs, producing regular reports and recommending corrective or improvement actions.
Contribute to service roadmap definition and continuous evolution, ensuring alignment between user needs, operational performance, and long-term sustainability goals.
Coordinate with technical teams, platform operators, business stakeholders, and end users to support service readiness, operational transitions, and service improvement initiatives.
Support project reviews, operational assessments, and reporting activities throughout the service lifecycle.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Customer- and user-oriented mindset, with a focus on service adoption and user value.

Experience working with multiple stakeholders across technical, operational, and management domains.
Experience preparing reports, presentations, operational documentation, or customer-facing deliverables.
Experience collecting, analysing, and reporting service or business performance indicators.
Understanding of service operations concepts, including KPIs, service levels, user support, and performance monitoring.
Experience supporting workshops, training activities, dissemination actions, or user engagement initiatives.
