Description and Requirements At Lenovo we are currently seeking applications for an Solution Enablement engineer. The applicant should enjoy building solutions made from the best of class hardware servers with the world’s leading business software from SAP SE®. You will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the solution installer, support script and the solution documentation. Also, you will be responsible for certifying new hardware, software and new Operating System versions with SAP. Additionally, you will provide development level support for the product and fix issues that the L1 and L2 Support teams have not been able to address. Your initiative to go beyond this basic requirement and enhance the solution (e.g. by developing new lifecycle solutions for seamless customer experience) is highly appreciated. There will be many opportunities to learn about solution design, architectural concepts, and enterprise level software development processes. What you will do: Develop Hardware and Infrastructure Solutions for SAP, especially SAP HANA. Develop new solutions using Lenovo’s world class ThinkSystem family of servers as well as sustaining new levels of OS, FW, and SAP software for the solution as required. Be able to go beyond and enhance the solution for maximum customer benefit is welcomed.  Interact not only with SAP as a partner, but also with our mutual operating systems and hardware partners like SUSE, Red Hat, Nutanix, VMware, Intel, AMD, etc Participate in weekly collaborative planning calls and meetings. What you will bring: This position requires to be a good team player (interfacing with partners and development teams globally), self-motivated, taking ownership of complex problems with confidence and enthusiasm and work without the need to have close supervision of the manager. Experience in Linux system administration and script development Minimum 2 years experience with Python, Bash Strong debugging skills and a methodical approach Analytical thinking Problem documentation and tracking Willingness to work with customers in problem resolution with the ability to restore customer confidence and satisfaction.
