Le poste en détail
Company DescriptionStreem Energy builds a SaaS platform helping energy players operate renewable assets across Europe: producers, aggregators and suppliers. Our software sits at the intersection of renewable energy generation, European power markets, and complex operational workflows. We combine strong engineering, data/AI, and deep energy-market expertise to turn real-world signals and constraints into actionable decisions.Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Software Engineer to help us build and scale Streem’s Energy Market Platform. This role is for someone who wants to understand the business, design systems, and deliver impact, not just write code. You will work on backend systems that encode market rules, orchestrate workflows, and support decision-making for our customers. You will have strong ownership over what you ship, from design to production.A fast-moving environmentThe renewable energy market evolves quickly — regulatory changes, new financial mechanisms, shifting operational constraints. Our platform must evolve just as fast.We optimize for speed of iteration without compromising long-term architectural integrity. That means building systems that are adaptable by design, making sound decisions under time pressure, and continuously improving what’s already in production. What you’ll do:Own backend systems end-to-end, from domain modelling to production reliabilityBuild data-intensive systems that support complex energy-market workflowsMake architectural decisions as the platform scales across European marketsWork closely with Product and Ops teams to translate real-world constraints into softwareImprove reliability, observability and operational robustnessMaintain high engineering standards through reviews, tests, refactors and pragmatic best practices Problems you’ll solve:Modelling complex energy-market rules while keeping the system understandable and maintainableDesigning workflows that combine asset data, market data and customer actionsEnsuring data consistency, traceability and correctness across systemsScaling the platform to support multiple countries with different regulations and mechanismsBuilding internal tools that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual workMaking pragmatic trade-offs between speed, robustness, flexibility and simplicity This role is for you if:You think in systems, not ticketsYou care about both speed and correctnessYou are comfortable making decisions with incomplete informationYou want real ownership over production systemsYou continuously raise your own standards Tech stack:We care more about engineering fundamentals than specific tools, but our current stack includes:Backend: Python & Ruby on RailsDatabases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, InfluxDBInfrastructure: AWS, Docker, HerokuFrontend: React (Next.js) QualificationsWe’re looking for impact-driven engineers who want to grow with the product — and raise the bar as it scales. You might be a strong fit if you:enjoy understanding complex domains and translating them into clear, maintainable systemsthink in systems and workflows rather than isolated featuresare pragmatic and comfortable shipping imperfect first versions — and iterating quicklycan balance speed with long-term architectural integritytake ownership of production systems and feel responsible for their reliabilitymake thoughtful trade-offs under uncertaintycontinuously improve your skills and adapt to new tools and practicescommunicate clearly and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teamsIt’s a plus if you have experience withB2B SaaS platformsData-intensive or workflow-heavy systemsComplex business rules, domain modelling, or domain-driven designMulti-country or regulation-driven productsHigh-velocity environments where requirements evolve quicklyAdditional InformationRecruitment process:Initial Call with the Tech LeadTechnical Test with the Tech Lead2 calls with other members of the team (among PM/CTO/Dev/CEO)Final Team meeting to see the fit Full-time
