We are currently looking for a Global Product Manager (Upstream), who wants to take part in taking our EndoIntelligence area to the next level. You will be responsible for being the commercial driver on one of our most exciting innovation projects, being responsible for representing the customer and delivering commercial activities throughout the project life cycle. You will also take part in shaping an area of high strategic importance for Ambu. You will be partnering with colleagues in R&D and other departments to bring to market an impactful solution with the potential to change clinical practices, which will strengthen Ambu’s position in the market and show our abilities within software.
You will work alongside the established team within EndoIntelligence and collaborate closely with other upstream colleagues, as well as pipeline, downstream and strategy, as we deliver on the overall vision. You will join an international and highly dedicated team, but also have strong ties in R&D, Sales Territories, etc. The position is based at Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark. Some traveling should be expected as a part of the job.
Leading a groundbreaking project
Our new Global Product Manager (Upstream) will be instrumental in increasing our innovation height, advancing our position in the market and accelerate our growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Taking lead as the product manager for an important and exciting innovation project, where you own all commercial deliverables, incl. translating customer needs into powerful solutions and representing the customer in all activities
Leading efforts to accelerate the project and focus on the in-market value, including following our launch excellence process and being the commercial voice on trade-offs
Ensuring that the project is thinking in full solutions, and that the development project works according to our strategy and ambitions for digital solutions – including looking ahead and already think about future development opportunities
Building strong relationships across the organization, to build momentum and alignment behind the solution and enable quick decision-making based on strong customer insights
Taking part in over execution of our EndoIntelligence strategy incl. ensure cross-project alignment, collaboration with both pipeline and downstream and a general openness to support where the need is greatest
Key competences
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong upstream product management experience and combine it with customer understanding and the ability create results in a growing area. We imagine you bring:
Experience within upstream product management with a strong focus on software. Addtional experience in hardware and AI is a strong benefit- ideally at the intersection of these domains
Strong track record of designing and implementing initiatives to drive growth, build brand loyalty and take a leading position in a market
Understanding of hospital systems and previous engagement with both clinical- and non-clinical stakeholders, to navigate the landscape and be their voice in the organization
Experience in leading product innovation projects from concept to launch
Ability to balance customer insights, technical considerations, and business priorities.
Excellent collaboration skills, as the role is key for all other product management areas and relies on strong alignment across various functions
A curious and positive mindset, that sees opportunities and wants to be part of shaping an area, as well as thriving in the role of a product manager, where the tasks as varied and can change
