Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.comJob DescriptionSenior Cost Estimators in the Energy and Natural Resources division develop cost estimates and control structures of projects and programmes of various sizes and complexity in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Chemicals and Clean Energies & Decarbonisation sectors. These services are delivered in CAPEX and OPEX projects from Concept and Order of Magnitude to Close-out levels, as well as in all project life cycles (pre-FEED, FEED, tendering, EPC).Senior Cost Estimators undertake the above while maintaining a strong commercial relationship with the clients, using effective communication techniques, and ensuring client satisfaction.The Senior Cost Estimator will be based in Paris, France, with possibly frequent business travels to clients/projects locations in France and Europe.Key accountabilitiesService DeliveryApply first principles estimating in the Energy and Resources sectorPrepare capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelinesApply and efficiently utilise approved work breakdown and cost breakdown structuresSupport key tendering activities, including preparation of pre-tender estimatesAnalyse project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunitiesWork collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as cost, risk, and planning teamsAnalyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractorsProvide process and technical estimating support production of feasibility studiesProvide estimating support to manage project budget and scope (Value Engineering)Business GenerationSupport the development of allocated sector/ service/ client marketing action plans.Provide and update contact and lead information for incorporation onto the database.Maintain client care activity for the commissions either under your control or that you are working on.Produce / maintain case studies for commissions either under your control or that you are working on.Identifying cross selling opportunities with current clients.Identifying new opportunities with current clients.Support new bids.Support Group marketing initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, ‘Économie de la construction’ or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying and/or économie de la construction, preferably within the Energy and Natural Resources sector.Strong analytical and numerical skills.Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam).Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.Fluency in French and English languages Preferred Qualifications:Experience with large-scale projects ($100M - $10B).Familiarity with civil/site construction, mechanical and electrical systems, and structural systems.Additional InformationOur people share our Purpose and Values.
