The principal accountabilities of the MENA Security Director is to drive the implementation and execution of risk-informed, security, crisis management and business continuity management strategies, plans and protocols, across the relevant markets. These accountabilities include, but are not limited to: In line with the broader EMEA security strategy, implement a market strategy to identify, assess and mitigate risks to PepsiCo’s People, Assets and Objectives. Maintain strong, proactive working relationships with, and provide consultation to, local leadership teams. Oversee and facilitate the ongoing strengthening of a sustainable, Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning and capability program. Through training and audit, validate that the markets’ Crisis Management and Business Continuity program, and plans are current and functional. Continually monitor and assess geopolitical developments that could have primary, secondary and tertiary impacts upon business and its people. Partner with the Intelligence Centre of Excellence to identify, assess, evaluate and monitor leading and lagging risk indicators. Partner with the Technical Security Center of Excellence to deploy risk-based, cost-effective technology solutions for access control, video surveillance systems, alarms, lighting and other facility security measures. Manage all security related vendors within MENA to include uniformed security guards and technical security specialists. Maintain relevant and effective KPIs. Plan and oversee security risk assessments and annual security reviews at the markets’ sites to identify critical vulnerabilities and to assist in closing these risks through cost-effective, best practice security enhancements. Analyze security threats and risks inherent in undertaking new business ventures and offer risk-based and business-aligned control measures. Within the markets, develop and maintain working relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, intelligence and regulatory authorities, as well as with security leaders of other large multinational companies. Deliver an and manage an OU-aligned CAPEX security business plan that ensures effective security spend. Develop and deliver risk-based security awareness and training programs. Advise and assist before, during, and after security incidents, including on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to business travelers. Implement a strategic plan to strengthen the protection of our supply chain. Conduct and coordinate investigations to include counterfeit, extortion, contamination of our products, loss reduction, kidnapping, robberies, Speak Up, fraud, corruption, and security threats against business interests and associates. Ensure the continued professional development of the security team, to include the identification of suitable individuals in longer-term succession planning. As necessary and required, support the Corporate Security Executive Protection program by providing pre-travel logistical assistance and direct operational support to impacted members of PepsiCo executive leadership when they are present within the markets. Strategically scale a high-impact team, focusing on professional upskilling, recruitment, and fostering an inclusive environment rooted in psychological safety and mutual respect Responsibilities SKILLS REQUIRED Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business environment; A minimum of 20 years of working experience; with accountabilities and key measures listed; Educational Excellence: Holds a degree (or equivalent) in law, security management, or business continuity, ideally supplemented by professional certifications like CBCMP or FEMA Seasoned Executive: At least 12 years of experience in a similar regional head role, coupled with at least 12 years of senior law enforcement, military or intelligence services, with direct experience influencings senior executive-level leadership Matrix Navigator: Extensive experience (12+ years) operating within complex matrix structures, demonstrating the ability to drive change and develop collaborative solutions across global divisions Visionary Leader: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainable, scalable solutions and a commitment to nurturing high-potential talent through proactive accountability Crisis Expert: Proven track record of leading complex emergency and crisis responses across geographically diverse and multicultural environments Qualifications DIFFERENTIATING COMPETENCIES 12 years’ experience in intelligence, military or law enforcement. 12 years’ experience in the FMCG/CPG sectors. Detailed knowledge of ISO standard 22301 Detailed knowledge of ISO standard 28000 Detailed knowledge of ISO standard 31000 Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Access Control Systems (ACS). Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Video Surveillance Systems (VSS). Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Visitor Management Systems (VMS). Comprehensive knowledge and experience of relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Comprehensive knowledge and experience of manned guarding services and procurement processes. Experience of developing plans for, and working in, high and extreme risk environments. Prior professional certification in small arms weapons handling and safe practices. Working knowledge and experience of PowerApps, PowerBI dashboards, Tableau and all Office 365 applications. Trained in Crisis Management and Business Continuity procedures. Experience of Executive Protection planning and delivery. Experience of event security planning and delivery. Formal investigation training and experience.
