We are now looking for a new Responsable Technique – Switchgear Services to join our dynamic team in Rungis, France!

In this position you will support the delivery of LV switchgear and busbar services across the region. This site-based role combines hands-on technical work, team supervision, and direct customer interaction. An excellent opportunity for an electrical professional looking to grow within a dynamic service environment.

 

What kind of work will you be doing? 

  • Supervise the regional Switchgear team.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Field Service Engineers and customers.
  • Identify and assess tooling/PPE/equipment requirements within your Field Service team.
  • Support the Services Operations Director to ensure all work is delivered to specification and to a high standard.
  • Conduct safety and quality audits.
  • Carry out on-site project work on LV switchboards and busbar systems - installation, commissioning, testing, and handover across multiple projects.
  • Investigate on-site issues/faults and perform necessary repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on LV switchboards and busbar systems.
  • Prepare all tools, test equipment, and site documentation for project/maintenance activities.
  • Communicate and liaise with customers, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure timely progress and adherence to project/contract milestones.
  • Liaise with internal procurement for material requirements and assist with service provider selection.
  • Manage site-related documentation, ensuring it is signed off by all relevant parties and uploaded to customer portals in a timely manner.
  • Take responsibility for safe working practices on site and ensure full compliance with relevant HSE procedures.
  • Be prepared to undergo various levels of security clearance and background checks for high-security customer sites.
  • Travel within a defined geographical area to customer sites.
  • This is a site-based role, and the majority of working time will be spent on customer sites or travelling.

 

 What will make you successful? 

  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in a site-based or customer-facing role.
  • Minimum BAC+2 (Associate Degree or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical schematics and control systems.
  • Fluent English (interface with the factory in Ireland).
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline.
  • Professional customer interaction experience.
  • Familiarity with electrical panel testing and fault finding.
  • Competence in primary and secondary injection testing.
  • Competence in flash testing.
  • Strong practical knowledge of LV switchgear, busbar systems, and protection devices.
  • Good understanding of safe isolation and electrical safety.
  • Experience maintaining accurate and detailed test documentation.
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required on customer sites.
  • Full driving licence.
