All soldiers in the Army complete Basic Training here and why it is known as the “Home of the Soldier”. These health facilities support the Army Recruit Training Centre (ARTC). It has a 50-bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy. Health Centre staff may be required to work across Wagga & Kapooka. Standard hours of operation are generally 0700-1600 Monday to Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts). What you’ll do Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care What you bring Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting Current CPR certification (HLTAID009) Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance) Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care Ability to work a 24/7 roster This role is primarily Monday to Friday (day shift) within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
