You will: The Main Purpose of the role is to support the dealer network to drive parts sales growth and foster a value-based total offer mindset within the dealership parts teams. This role involves developing and supporting strategic sales plans and marketing strategies, fostering strong dealer and customer relationships and coordinating with various departments and the dealer network to ensure efficient supply chain and inventory management. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting and providing clear and actionable insights from our dealer network. Reporting: This position reports to the Senior Manager: Parts & Service Sales. Job Objectives: Strategic Leadership and Planning Develop and implement national parts sales campaigns using market intelligence and dealer insights. Set dealership parts targets and follow up on activity to support achievement. Provide product selection for marketing campaigns, ensuring correct inventory levels at SML and input into pricing strategies Build, maintain relationships and work in close collaboration with dealer management teams. Reporting and Analysis Provide monthly activity reports and dealer KPI insights for allocated region, including campaign success analysis. Utilize performance reporting tools to identify growth opportunities and support dealer network. Conduct monthly required reporting on dealership KPIs in line with BRM guidelines. Sales Growth and Inventory Management Drive parts sales growth over the counter and in workshops. Support Extended sales through Truckshop. This should be included in dealer discussions and admin within Vexom. Review and support dealer network with parts inventory management and obsolescence control. Oversee the utilization of the Volvo Parts Store and manage rebate programs to incentivize sales growth. Training and Development Use coaching and training techniques to help service markets apply tools and methods for continuous improvement • Identify training and development opportunities within the region and collaborate with the competence team and SML operations to enhance dealer network skills Who are you? Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring: Qualification & Job Experience: Grade 12 / Matric. Business management diploma or degree (Advantageous). 3-5 years relevant experience in parts business management within the heavy commercial vehicle industry. 3-5 years relevant experience in parts sales (retail and wholesale) within the heavy commercial vehicle industry. Job Knowledge: Basic heavy vehicle technology. Inventory control and supply chain. Job Related Skills: Computer software- Microsoft Excel. Customer relationship. Communication. Analytical skills. Networking skills. Sales orientated. Key Competencies Advanced negotiation, communication, and sales skills. Good presentation skills. Sound knowledge and experience of the automotive / transport industry. Strong commercial acumen. Sound computer skills (Microsoft Packages & retail systems). Strong customer service focus. Good administration and time management skills. Ability to work autonomously. High level skills in problem solving, communication & conflict resolution. Sound inventory management and automotive parts knowledge. Sound knowledge of marketing. Ability to represent Volvo Group South Africa at all levels.
