Project Cost Controller

Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: - Monitor the FPSO project’s expenses and be proactive to send alerts before overruns occurred. - Administration of budget variance tracking - Track the budget performance against the work progress. - Analyse cost variances for each package. - Identify trends where deviations are about to occur and advise for actions. - Communicate with package lead and collect reports and minutes of meetings from contractor and vendors to Identify potential scope changes. - Assess cost impact of changes and maintain a change records sheet as per cost breakdown. - Track changes to make sure that forecast is updated accordingly. Tasks - Review WBS cost against budget. - Provide input on project Cost follow up sheets using SAP reports. - Update daily cost follow up sheet with Actual cost and Committed costs from SAP extract. - Update project forecast according to various events and changes occurring on project activities. - Review status of project Change Orders and update Project Cost follow up sheet accordingly. - Assist on preparing the Project Cost Report each end of month. - Participate to build and review Monthly Project Status Report with the project control lead prior to issuing to Project Manager. Requirements and skills - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field/ strong experience on project cost control in Oil and Gas field - Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control or financial control - Analytical and problem-solving abilities required. - Thorough understanding of accounting principles and budgeting procedures - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Proficiency in SAP, Excel - Pbi is a plus. - Professional skills on project planning with MS Project tools - Fluent in English/ French is a plus.
